The Office accommodated us fine. Make sure you have reservations though, also Baja Cantina is a excellent place :)

There are some restaurants in that list that closed already and some new ones that are missing. If anyone is interested here some links with updated information about all the restaurants in the area:

The top 7 international food restaurants:

La Ruta del Sabor - Cabo San Lucas, Los Cabos Mexico

Restaurants in San Jose del Cabo:

Restaurants in Cabo San Lucas:

Restaurants in the Corridor:

Personally some suggestions:

San Jose del Cabo:

a) Tropicana - Great food, great service and check out the shows on the weekends. Live music.

B) Zippers - Great BBQ ribs and Burgers. Big portions and prices.

c) Casianos - Great experience! Here the chef never makes the same plate twice! Innovating and chick restaurant.

d) Meson del Angel - Try the Tortilla Soup!, and break the diet for one day and have a desert, you won't regret it!

Cabo San Lucas:

a) Baja Cantina - Try Pistache Soup (sound weird but it's really good)

B) La Fonda - Again break that diet and have the Flan de Elote

c) Mariscos Mazatlan - For great sea food, try Mariscos Mazatlan.

d) Tsuki - This in my opinion is the best sushi in town. Try currican roll (not sure about the spelling but ask for it) and the Serranito sashimi. Yumi!

Bon appétit!

Hello Everyone,

I am adding my restaurant reviews to this list. We dined at these restaurants in July '08 and Sept '08.

Restaurants

At Cabo Azul Resort:

Flor de Noche

•Swim up bar and table service. Serves lunch and dinner. Food and drinks are good but pricey

Javier’s

•Great selection of menu items for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Dinner food is outstanding! Very pricey but the service and quality of the food match the price. Killer margaritas. Awesome ceviche.

San Jose del Cabo:

Tequila

Tequila Restaurant

Our welcome dinner was held at Tequila. They accommodated our group of 36 in the back patio of the restaurant. We negotiated a 2 course meal with 2 drinks, tax and tip for a set fee. All 3 menu options were delicious!

We also ate here prior to our trip. The food is delicious but pricey as with all restaurants around Cabo. Entrees ranged from $20-$40. Great patio area.

La Panga

La panga antigua restaurant & bar, San Jose del Cabo, Los Cabos, Mexico

La Panga is similar to Tequila (high end restaurant). The food is delicious. The menu is seafood based. Very pricey $20-40/entrée. Good wine list. Great outdoor patio.

Tropicana Inn

Tropicana Inn

We ate lunch on the front patio of Tropicana. They serve traditional Mexican food. Lunch meals were $10-20/entrée. Great Margaritas. Attentive, but slow service.

El Comal de la Buena Comida Mexicana

Blvd. Mijares 1357 Col Centro, San Jose del Cabo in the courtyard of Plaza la Casa de Don Rodrigo, Downtown.

Restaurante El Comal - Los Cabos

El Comal de la Buena Comida Mexicana - San Jose del Cabo, Los Cabos, Mexico

Cute restaurant in a courtyard between 2 buildings. Set off from the main street. You feel like you are entering a secret garden. They serve traditional Mexican food. Excellent and attentive waiters/service. Great Pomegranate Margaritas. We had lunch and dinner here. Lunch $10-20/entrée. Dinner $20-40/entrée. Not as high quality of food as Tequila or La Panga. Go here for lunch vs. dinner.

Habaneros

Blvd. Mijares s/n Int. Plaza los Misiones

Habaneros Restaurant - Creative Mexican Fusion in San Jose del Cabo

Cute family owned small restaurant in a strip center on the way to San Jose. Food is decent and moderately priced. Great service. Seems like a local favorite. Dinner $15-20/entrée. Stick to beer or wine- the margaritas aren’t the best.

Cabo San Lucas

French Rivera

French Riviera Restaurant - Los Cabos Baja California Sur, Mexico.

This restaurant was a FIND! The best restaurant we’ve found in Cabo. It’s a true treasure. Located at Club 96 on the Pamilla property- this restaurant is open to the public. The tables are set on a bluff over the beach looking out to the sea. We went at sunset and it was perfect! It is slow season in Sept, and we were literally the only people in the restaurant. We had 3 waiters serving us! Even if it wasn’t slow, we had the impression that the restaurant provides outstanding service.

Our meal was fantastic and the chef sent out a special appetizer and dessert- his compliments. The menu does not have prices. You know what they say, if you have to ask the price, you probably can’t afford it. Well we were a bit worried about that- turns out when the bill came, it was the least expensive up-scale dinner we had the whole week! The entrees were $20-30. Far less than La Panga, Tequila or Javier’s and way better. We are so glad we found the restaurant. We will be back!

Here are the restaurants that we went to during our week in Cabo May 24-30, 2009:

Mi Casa - we went there for authentic Mexican. The food was good, but not fantastic, in my opinion, but maybe I was just annoyed at all the vendors that visit your table and hit you up for tips every 5 minutes. There were 2 clowns who made balloon animals even though we didn't request any and stood there until they got a tip, a mariachi band (that was fun because at least you could request something), a sketch artist. It was distracting, but others might enjoy that, especially if they have kids. Service was pretty slow and parking was difficult to find.

Ediths - cannot say enough good things about Ediths - it was our best meal at a restaurant probably in both Cabo and Kauai. Mmmm - the Wally's special, catch of the day, shrimp and lobster - to die for. The ambiance was incredible - inside but no ceiling in areas so you can see the sky, they hang a pancho on each chair if you get cold. Strolling mexican band here was outstanding. Also, they have valet parking if you have a car. A highlight of our trip.

We also ate numerous times at our hotel restaurants in the Hilton: El Meson and the Madero Bar. Excellent meals - could eat at Madero Bar for a month straight - mini burgers, wood fired pizzas, fresh tacos, salads - everyone raved about the food. El Meson had a variety of items, though heavy on Mexican fare and was excellent every time. Breakfast buffet also outstanding.

Thank you for the list of the restaurants...It's Awesome! I am looking for a place for my Parents and the Groom's family to meet before the wedding and wanted to be close to Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach Resort. Any ideas(not to pricey). Thanks in advance-

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
