I started making a list last night of things I still have left to do, and it's over 1 page and I'm sure I forgot stuff.

So far I have:

Sent out STDs (end of October)

Booked Iberostar Paraiso Lindo for wedding

Paid deposit for our trip

Booked photographer (Citlalli Rico)

My dress (I also am working on the getting thinner part before I have to get it altered)

BM dresses, and one extra to be made into a flower girl dress.

FI's suit

Starfish tealight holders (found at Linen's n things) and small tealight holders for centerpieces (I just hope I have enough since I don't know how many tables we will actually have)

Invitations (still working on those)

Pail for flower girl, but need to decorate it

Part of BM gifts (their dresses, beach bags, photo album and frame)

Starfish for bouquet

Shoes (flip-flops)

Veil (although not sure I'm wearing it)

Ordered my headpiece, but haven't received it yet

Bought tropical chapstick for OOT bags

Ordered FI and the dads' ties

Registered at Pottery Barn and Linens n' Things so far

Still need to:

Get jewelry

Buy rest of BM gifts and get GM gifts

Order OOT bags and stuff to go in them

Decide on GM attire

Get wedding bands

Get FI's dress shirt

Finish invitations and mail them

Get sand ceremony vases and sand

Decide on wedding music

Decide what we will do for guestbook

Get engagement photos done??

Make or order programs

Order parasols, fans and bubbles for ceremony

Hi Ladies!

I am just seeing this thread! Aren't you all getting excited!

We had a wedding party dinner at our house this past Saturday and got a lot of questions answered. We just decided last week to ask one more couple to be in the wedding. We are having dinner with them this weekend so we'll ask them then.

SO far I have the following:

Date Reserved at hotel

Deposit on trip

My dress & Flip flops

Flowergirl dress & Flip flops

Bridesmaids dresses & flip flops

SOME OOT bag stuff

>travel candles, playing cards, margarita mixes, first aid kits (working on these - FMIL is supposed to be sending me the tylenol and chaser for them)

Manicure sets for BM's

Wedding programs - constantly revising, but I have the stuff to make them

Cake topper

Cake server

flowers for hair - need to assemble

tissues for Tears of Joy packets

Ringbearer ring holder (FMIL has it - I haven't seen it yet) - it's a light blue mini velvet sombrero

Picked out invitations

Bride tanktop

MOH tank top

Still have to get

Wedding jewlery - including bands for both of us!

Grooms attire

Gromsmen attire

King of the Ring attire

Veil

Sash for flowergirl dress

2nd BM's dress

OOT bags

Rest of OOT bag stuff

BM tanktop

Flowergirl tank top

Need to register

We also still need to decide if we are doing an AHR. I really want one, but FI isn't sure.

That's all I can think of right now! - omg - that's enough!

I am making them! I bought the rhinestone iron-ons on-line from Wedding Favors - Wedding Party Favors - Favor Ideas and Decoratons

I just bought some plain tanks. I haven't ironed them on yet ~ hopefully they work out! I got the iron ons that say "Bride" - "Just Married" - "Bridesmaid" - "Maid of Honor" and "Flowergirl".

Awesome, can you let us know how they work? I wanted to buy my ladies these tanks but they are so expensive. This is a great alternative.

Ok I'm a bum. I have six months to go and I have bought my dress and a couple of things for my OOT bags and ummmm that's it. I know what I want for things but I haven't actually bought much. I wanted to be done by July but the rate I'm going that's when I'll start. I can't believe how organized everyone is, some of the girls getting married in 2009 have way more done than I do. At least I'm not stressed about anything, I'll look at it that way and feel better about it!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
