Celina-Congrats on your legal day!!!

Steph & Celina-Have a great trip and fabulous weddings!

I picked up my dress last night. It wasn't ready when I was supposed to pick it up so I got it last night at 8:30PM. I got NO sleep on Friday night so I passed out on the couch as soon as I got home. I got two more pairs of blue panties to wear under my dress for my something blue. I haven't tried them on yet so I hope at least one of them fits. I also picked up some more lingerie for the trip. I got an old hanky from my aunt from Ireland so I got my something old and borrowed so those things are done. I need to finish printing out the welcome packets today, I had to pick up more paper yesterday. I also need to finish the programs. I pawned the fans off to my FMIL to tie the ribbon on them. We are almost done packing, I'll be able to finish packing once I'm done with the laundry and the rest of my make-up and hair stuff I can pack Tuesday morning before we leave. I'm getting my nails done tomorrow, and my eyebrows waxed. I'm going to go tanning in a few minutes and will probably go again tomorrow. I'm not sure if I'll logon again before I go, but I just wanted to thank everyone again for all your help and support!

Celina: Congrats on you legal day! i can just picture you running around frantically this morning... you leave tomorrow! hurray!

Michelle: It sounds like things are coming together - your list is impressive and it seems like you have things under control. 3 days to go!!

We might have another guest coming with us! One of my old coworkers who I'm still close with called me this morning with awesome news - she wants to get away and is considering booking at our resort for the week we are there: crashing our wedding! I laughed when she asked if that was ok.

We are booking a limo to take us to the airport, so I've confirmed that today too. Our tickets should be arriving this week or next, so that is one mor thing off the list. Then I can mail out our newsletters and luggage tags.

One other surprise, my Mom is buying us travel mugs for our favours! She is buying enough for all our guests, and is putting our monogram on them. I think it will be so cute for everyone to have a matching one, and what a good thing to have after the fact. It was something we really wanted to do, but the cost was prohibitive for us (we spent the money towards the private reception instead). So this was a really really nice surprise. I love my Mom!

That is great news Tara. I am so glad that everything went so wonderful for you.

Chika - The travel mugs are great. We got bubba kegs for everyone going with us. We were going to get the monogramed ones, but with the cost, we could get the bubba for cheaper when they were on sale. I made luggage tags that I put on them with each guests name on one side, and the other side had the info for our wedding, and the saying "To have and to hold, To keep your drink cold"

So I got a bunch of stuff done at my Mom's yesterday. I got the luggage tags all together and on the mugs, gum and ugly green material to tie on the suitcases making it easier to find at the airport into the bubbas.

Then I got the OOT bag stuff together and the first aid kits. I have a couple things I have to add to the OOT bag stuff, but it is all packed into one of the carry-ons now. A few more things to do, but I got rid of a bunch of stuff today.

I am at work right now, and brought the last few pages of the welcome books so I could cut them out. Tomorrow night my Mom and I can glue them in since we are working nights together tomorrow.

How is everyone else doing with their prep? Not too much longer!!!

Sorry girls I've been out sick this past week..hopefully I'll get it all out of my system before Mexico :) Congrats Tara on a wonderful wedding!! I can't wait we leave 2 weeks from today!! We got Greg 3 new pairs of dress pants this past weekend. This weekend I plan to work on starting to pack some things and finish up the OOT bags. I bought a cute little bridal Jessica Mcclintock purse off of Ebay for $5..never used!! and originally $50..so that was my bargain of the week :)

Well, I have been busy with working extra shifts, being parent helper for my daughters playschool, and doing wedding things. I have finished the welcome books, the OOT bags and finished packing one carryon with favors and OOT things.

Tomorrow is my second bridal shower, so I am helping my sister clean up and get ready for it.

Welcome back Danielle. How was your holiday?

My shower was good. I will see if I can post a couple of pics maybe.

My internet still isn't really working and now my computer is in the shop. It has decided that it is tired and won't come out of sleep mode.

So today my Nanny (Grandma) is having surgery to get a pacemaker and defibrilator in. Hopefully this will keep her around until after we get back from holidays!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
