I'm so glad there's no eagles game this sunday. Gives me more time to get stuff done.

I have to buy one of those body shaper things. maybe i'll stop by Jcpenney this weekend.

Sorry celina i dont like male strippers. I think they are all kinda cheesey. Not my thing. I think it would be kinda weird if there were girls and guys dancing in the same room. That's strange. I can see them in the same club but different rooms.

if you do the fire with yours can you eat a smores for me. I love them.

My weekend is jam packed. Tonight i'm going to reprint my programs. I messed up cutting them and have to redo them. And now i think i'm going to redo my placecards. I let derek talk me into using a logo design he made but the colors are blue and orange and everything else i have is lime green and turqoise. I dont think its going to look right on the table and he thinks i'm being a bridezilla. what should i do?

Saturday im doing wash and cleaning during the day. I have my nephews 1st bday part at 4 and then we are meeting dereks h.s. friends at the bar. it was supposed to be his high school reunion but it got canceled because of lack of response so now they are just meeting at the bar near us.

Sunday i'll be doing more wash, cleaning, wedding projects and maybe i can test pack. Ohh i guess i should start handing out my oot bags too.

Oh ladies, our days are getting so filled these days!!

Celina, first on the song...I agreee totally play it. Secondly on the male strippers...ewe ewe and ewe. No way in hell do I want some nasty weiner waving in my face. I just dont think the male body is very shall I say politely..pretty.

My weekend...tonight I have a laid back bachelorette party. I just wanted to get together for drinks and appetizers so we are going to Bahama Breeze which has yummy tropical drinks to get us in the mood for Mexico. Saturday I have my shower at noon and then at 7pm my family is taking me out for my bday dinner (a week late but my sis and niece will be in town for my shower). Sunday we are going to friends to watch the Bears hopefully not suck and I need to fit in laundry and the beginning of packing!!

Well I guess going to Linens N' Things is my top priority tonight to use up my gift card before they are gone!

Other than that, I will worry a bit about Jayson's bachelor party tonight, and look forward to mine tomorrow :)

I still have some placecards to finish too.. heh

Lisa dont worry i'm sure Jayson will be a good boy at his party. He knows he has a good woman at home. And get your ass over to Linen N Things 2night. I think they arent taking gift cards much longer.

Steph I'm cracking about the male strippers, weiners waving in my face. lmao!!! Your bachlorette sounds good. Bahama breezes has some really good drinks. Happy belated bday

Steph-have fun at Bahama Breeze. I love their drinks!

I somehow got talked into going to a wedding tomorrow. My cousin can't go because her daughter is sick so she asked if I would go in her place with my aunt. It is my aunt's neighbor's daughter so I do know the family, but not that well. I'm totally going to be a wedding crasher. I'm trying to get out of it if I can because I really don't want to go!

We are having another garage sale this weekend at my grandpa's house. I hope we can get rid of the stuff that didn't sell at the sale we had at my aunt's a few weeks ago, but we will donate whatever doesn't go this weekend.

I am working on our phot list for the photographer. I have bookmarked some poses of other people's wedding pictures that I liked and then I just started making a list of the family shots that we want. Have any of you done a list yet?

I also got my proof photos of our cake topper. I'm so happy with how it turned out.

It's 3 hours? I think. I have way too many songs, but I couldn't stop myself!

The thing is........

The song holds a lot of meaning in my side of the family. It was first played at my step-brothers baby boy's funeral. He was a twin premie that passed away because he never recieved a liver transplant. He passed at almost 2 years old.

It was played at my step-mom's mother's funeral when we released doves at her graveside.

It was played at my dad's brothers funeral during a slideshow display.

SO - if I played it I don't want it to feel morbid. I want to play it because it's beautiful, and because it means a lot to me to remember those who passed and to remember the beautiful occasion of our wedding day.

Should I play the song? I am thinking of playing it for the bridal party and then switch to a spanish guitar song when I walk down the aisle. What do you guys think??
I'm in the minority here, that I wouldn't play the song. While it may hold lots of meaning to your family, it's not really wedding type of meaning, KWIM? I'd pick a song that will hold meaning to you for the rest of your life, that was your walking down the isle song. Just my opinion though!

Ok, so serious question for you girls. I'm having crazy anxiety about this wedding. I just posted a thread on anti anxiety meds - which someone suggested to me today. I don't know. I don't want to be drugged up, but I'm afraid if I don't I'll be crazy nervous. I'm the kind of person that gets nervous waiting.... no matter what I'm waiting for. The other night FI and I were walking our dogs and talking about what we needed to get done and I got all tense and felt like I couldn't breathe. And just the thought of all those people staring at me, and me being the center of attention ALL day and ALL night, makes me sick to my stomach. I wish we would have just eloped....... On my way into work this morning I was literally saying "the wedding is 4 months away" over and over trying to get myself to believe it. Are you guys feeling this way? Do I talk to a DR and see what they say?

Hey Tara.. I'm the same way about being the center of attention.. I HATE IT. I hate the fact that people are going to be staring at me all day.. and I blush a deep red whenever I'm the focus of attention.. it's retarded. I even had thoughts of going to a hynotist to see if they could help me not get so embarrassed as easily etc etc.. but haven't done that yet! I find that if I have a couple drinks I really relax alot more. Maybe all you need to do is have a drink before you walk down the aisle just to take the edge off? Heh.. I'm not sure about anti anxiety meds though. Never taken them before. I would be leery about doing that though right before your wedding without having at least tried them first :)

OMG! I'm the same way too Tara...I actually thought about anti-anxiety meds too. But I think I am going to stick with good ol' alcohol because I'm afraid of mixing drugs and then drinks later..whew..don't want to be passed out at the reception :) But yeah, I get all stressed out too just thinking about it..thinking about trying not to cry and trying not to pass out. I'm hoping the alcohol will help. At least we only have 20 guests though and most close friends and family so that helps.

Well, I'm going for my 2nd hair trial today at a different place so we'll see how that goes. Trying my hair a different way.

I think I may go for this Reese Witherspoon look:

Reese Witherspoon with Hair in New Low Formal Bun at 2006 Oscars - Beautiful Hairstyles

maybe a little more volume in front though..we'll see.

Took my dress in to get the bustle and cups sewn in and she said it will be done on Nov 17th. We leave on the 21st so I hope so!!! :)

Got our legal day set for the 31st and FI applied for the marriage license so we should get that on Monday.

Everything is coming up fast!!

Tara, I have a 2 friends on anti anxiety meds and they live by them. Which to me is not good. I mean the smallest thing happens and they are popping these pills. If your daily life (before the wedding stuff was going on) was full of anxiety then I would say yes these may be for you but if it is all the wedding bringing it on then I would be hesitant to start these powerful drugs so close to your wedding. Of course if you like and trust your doc get his/her opinion. JMHO!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
