It's getting really close, but im not stressing out....YET! I did all the things that I should have done by this point....The most important things at least that are in my control.

I've ordered my dress, but it wont come in until oct. 31 st so I will be cutting it short!

Got the shoes, my Fiancee has his suit, we got the wedding bands, sent out the STD's and as for OOT bags, i am going to buy the bags and a few favors down there! I did however buy some small travel size sunscreen, advil, bugspray, mints, chap stick, lotion, and condoms for the guy bags!!!

Im sure i will find cute authentic things in mexico for the rest of the things!

Everything else will get taken care of when i get down there, so there is no point in stressing over something we dont have any control over!

I have put a couple things in the one suitcase that we won't be using until we are done there, so might as well pack it and get it out of the way. I also have some color wonder books and the markers packed in hailey's carry on. I have also made copies of our passport and packed them away.

I really like the packing idea Michelle. That is such a great idea, although with my luck we would get ours, and Hailey's suitcase would be the one that would get lost with all her clothes and Justin's clothes and diapers would be the one to get lost. Maybe I will get all the bags packed and then just throw an outfit for each of us into the other bags. That beats packing a change of clothes in your carry on like we used to always do.

thats a great idea!

on that note, are you guys carrying on FI's wedding wear? what if that was in a bag that didn't make it. that would suck!

I am going to hang Mike's suit with my dress in the same bag. The garment bag that my dress came in is clear, but they put one of those white garbage bag type bags over it so you can't see in there. I don't think the airline will care what is in the bag as long as it is one bag. Plus, I figure if the suit is hanging we won't have to worry about it getting wrinkled being packed in a suitcase or to your point getting lost. That would suck!

Wedding Mules...you are hillarious Danielle! I need to get some wedding mules lined up myself!! I was telling my MOH this morning - someone has to carry down all of the non-OOT bag stuff.

I know exactly how you feel with the extra kids stuff....SO MUCH more to lug!! Are you taking a stroller? My son can walk - but that cheapie stoller is going back with us to Mexico for sure!

I am thinking of buying a garment bag suitcase. I have my dress, daughters dress, FI's wedding outfit and son's wedding outfit. Good idea to put it in the carryon. I wonder if those garment bag suitcases are carry on size. Hmmm...I'll have to check. I was also thinking of putting them in a zippered garment bag like Erica and put them in a rolling duffel but I'm not sure if the rolling duffell's are carry on size either. Speaking of FI's wedding wear, I have to wash his linen pants and get them hemmed!

We are taking the double stroller since Justin is just starting his walking, and Hailey is good about walking usually, but if she gets tired then she can just ride too. If we go to Altos de Chavon, then they can both sleep in the stroller if they are tired too, and rather than carrying either of them, they can ride. Then we can also haul stuff in it too!

When we went to the Dominican last time, we took the little cheap stroller, and it worked good, but Hailey coldn't lay back in it to sleep. Then when we went to Disneyland, we took the big stroller and it was soooo nice to have for her. When we went to Cuba, we took nothing and totally regretted it!!!!! They let you take the strollers right up to the door of the plane, then you fold it and they put it underneath the plane. When you land, they have the stroller out there waiting for you. Our double stroller folds up smaller than our single Jeep stroller, so I am not worried about it at all.

One good thing that I did, was I made Hailey try pulling the little carryon suitcase that I got for her to make sure that she could handle it. I'm not going to make it too heavy, so she should be good.

AAwwwww Erica, you enlisted Hailey as a wedding mule!!! LOL!! Way to go Mom!!

On a side note, did you guys check out Tara's luggage tags? Well - I have a bunch here that I can use, but they have to go through a laminator.

Can I make them with a picture on the front (I am totally copying yours Tara - I LOVE them)!!

And have the back say their last name and name of the hotel?

Just since they have to be pre-done because they are the laminating kind.

What do you guys think?

We might laminate our luggage tags, but they go into the hard covers still. I posted pics (that were blurry) but we are going to change them a bit again. I have a pic on one side with the guests name on it, and the other side was another pic with our wedding info on it.

Ha, thanks!! I pre made the the names too, I did name, address and cell phone number. It was a PITA getting everyone's correct info, since so many people had moved since i sent invites out a WAY Long time ago.

But I think name and resort would be great!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
