If you do the plastic cups with stickers they would have to be fairly large and I'd be worried about the stickers coming off when they get wet maybe?
I ended up buying some cups over the weekend at Wal Mart. They had hot pink and blue. I bought some rub ons and a paint pen. HOWEVER - the paint pen I used to write names on the cups doesn't work. You can scratch the paint right off. I may end up rubbing all the paint off and getting rub on letters for the names. I may just do an initial unless I find another pen. sad.gif

How do you feel Steph? Those things always suck, but if done right are an absolute help!

My FI picked out his ring a few weeks ago, but I can't remember exactly what it looks like. I will post a pic once we get it. Here is a pic of my e-ring.
Your ring is beautiful!! Congrats on finding his. We still have to get our bands.

well girls i managed to buy a couple of things this weekend. i got my bm shoes. they're just flip flops from kohls. i bought the ribbon i'm going to use for the pashminas. And since the folders i wanted for my invitations got messed up, i found a replacement and ordered them along with matching envelopes. three day weekend, so hopefully i can get a lot done this weekend. I cannot find raffia ribbon at any store near me, has anyone see it?

At Target, they had some big straw bags on clearance. They were white and they had some white straw floppy hats (not on clearance). I am not much of a hat wearer I usually wear my hair up, but my daughter said I looked so cute with the hat on. The bags were cute too! They were straw-ish and had a silver thread in them. Very CUTE! So if you are looking for cute stuff - Target is the place to be!

I have seen spools of raffia at Party City near the balloon ribbon. It isn't actual straw, but a plastic type of material that looks like raffia, just not straw. I bought some last year to tie around silverware roll ups for a bbq.

Steph, I did! Did you find anything that worked? I tried the rub-ons, and they stood, but I was there with that popsicle stick for an eternity! (No - it wasn't THAT bad)-but long enough!

Shawn teased me and said he was going to find some glue-on rhinestones for me. I was like DUDE - why didn't I think of that!?! He said to leave a blank spot on the cup so I can tally how many drinks I get out of that cup!!

shots.gif I told him ~ no problem!!

I'm sure Wednesday can't come fast enough for you! Hang in there!

Raffia I have seen at Hobby Lobby, Michaels and JoAnn Fabrics, you have any of those?
I'm so hoping one of my Targets has these because they are so cute and such a good deal! I'm just wondering about space in my suitcase :)

Celina, I couldnt find a damn thing that stuck for good on the cups. I had gotten the pre-designed rhinestone sticky things and they stuck for a little while but came off eventually. They were such a good deal but not going to work.

Amy, heck ya the bags rock! I am so jacked!

Trust me if I had been near that Oreo spill I would've headed straight for it and asked where I could find the double stuffs!

I think this weekend I am going to print my invitation envelopes and that may be about it. What do you all hope to accomplish this week/weekend?

I have a few more invites to make to give to close relatives that won't be able to make the wedding, but would still appreciate the invite. I also want to book the hall for the AHR and call the caterer. Oh yes, I am also ordering my dress and my daughters dress!

    • Good afternoon, I wanted to inquire if anyone has or knows someone who got married at this resort. How was it? How are the coordinators? Packages that were chosen. Any help would be greatly appreciated.   Thanks.
    • Hi all! I know this is an old thread... but just in case there are other destination wedding brides out there with the same question, I thought I would answer! My guy and I live in Texas and just got our marriage license (yay!). We are getting married in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. The Dallas County clerk informed us that we can get our marriage license in Texas, bring it and a Texas-registered officiant to Mexico, have the ceremony in Mexico, then bring the marriage license back to Texas to file and it will be LEGAL in the US.  In  other words, we can legally get married in Mexico using our Texas marriage license and officiant (who is a family friend), then file the paperwork when we get home. Where it says 'county in which ceremony was performed' on the license, we just put in Playa del Carmen, Mexico and bam! Married :) I do not know if this is true for other states, but it is CONFIRMED for Texas! I suggest asking the clerk when you register for your marriage license. I am overjoyed that we can have a US-legal marriage in Mexico so our wedding date on our license will be the actual day! NO blood tests, or getting married before or after the trip required!
    • Every Bride spends a lot of time researching and worrying about her perfect wedding dress. While many Indian brides choose the traditional red colour for their bridal gown, a few of them find some different colours to wear on their special day. Here is a description of how to choose an Indian wedding dress that suits your skin tone. 1) Fair complexion: You can choose any shade of blue or bright shades of pink and red. In the shades of blue- select scuba blue or royal blue. Among other colours this season, you can pick up your dress in tangerine.   2) Wheatish complexion Just select those colours which bring out the warmth in your complexion. Some of the best options for you are tangy orange, saffron yellow, vibrant shades of red, mint green and hot pink.   3) Dusky complexion: If you have an olive skin tone, then you can pull off any rich and dark colour quite well. So, the colours like classic blue, marsala, burnt orange and brick red are just perfect for you. Also the metallic silver, gold and bronze will even flatter your face pretty well
    • I will be using the hPage Website Builder to create a free website for our wedding. I am planning to post wedding updates, wedding photos, wedding reminders, and wedding articles regarding our upcoming marriage there. For RSVP, I am using Facebook events since almost all we invited have facebook and it would be easier to get their "yes" or "no" confirmation there. In case anyone is interested as well here's their site: hPage Website Builder - https://www.hpage.com
