I think I may go for this Reese Witherspoon look:

Reese Witherspoon with Hair in New Low Formal Bun at 2006 Oscars - Beautiful Hairstyles

maybe a little more volume in front though..we'll see.

Took my dress in to get the bustle and cups sewn in and she said it will be done on Nov 17th. We leave on the 21st so I hope so!!! :)

Got our legal day set for the 31st and FI applied for the marriage license so we should get that on Monday.

Everything is coming up fast!!
LOVE that hairstyle! Of course, pictures!!

thanks girls for your input, I've decided against seeing the doctor for the anxiety. FI really put it into perspective last night. Instead of being anxious about all the people being there, I should feel loved that they traveled all this way to be with me on this special day. Made me feel so much better! And if the anxiety comes back, me and tequila get along pretty well, so I'll just have a margarita!

Hi Girlies!

Okay - so as far as weiners in my face - we have some ground rules. NO waving dollars above my head, I do not want to touch or have some sweaty guy gyrating on me. I think that is disgusting. I will be a willing spectator - NOT a participant. One of my friends went to the club this past summer for another bach party so I am waiting to see what she says.

Tara, honey I don't think you should take the meds. Take a shot of tequilla and go on about your business. Plus you don't want to be taking the meds and drinking at the same time. NOT GOOD.

Well, let me tell you guys what happened. I went to my cousin's house for a facial. She is a licensed esthitician (sp??) and massage therapist. Well - I had her wax my face and do the facial. I am not kidding...I have what looks like welts ALL OVER MY FACE where she waxed.

She did my daughters eyebrows and she is fine. Me on the other hand - not so fine. I look horrible. I have them above my eyebrows, above my lip, all over my cheeks and on the side of my face. My face hurts. It's not uncomfortable, but it is definitely sore and I look awful.

I don't know what to do. I am definitely not wearing any make up. Nothing will hide this. I look like I have the worst break out ever.

I go in for my make up trial next Saturday. This better clear up. I think I am going to go take some Benadryl and put neosporin all over my face. I dont know what to do. I swear - I look like a horrible acne commercial.

Oh Celina, that sounds like a definite reaction to the wax. I dont know much about that stuff but I bet in a few days it will be ok. Have you tried icing it to calm it down a little?

Well my shower and laid back bach party were a blast. We got a lot of really great stuff. My friends and famiy were so very generous!! I will post pics as soon as my mom sends them to me.

I got the table numbers completed and we have started packing. Hope you all are having a great weekend!

Tara, glad you are doing better! Sounds like you have a great FI!

oh celina that sucks! my face reacts to everything too and i usually use cortozone cream, but if you use it, use it sparingly. i'm so sorry that happened, that sucks BIG time!!!!

so FI and I had "date night" last night. he wouldn't tell me what we were doing, all i knew was that it started at 6:15. turns out my "date night" was actually a surprise bachelorette thrown by my work girls. it was tons of fun, but now I have the worst headache! I will post pics soon!

Tara-I know nothing about anti-anxiety mesa so I am of no help to you.

Celina-I have had weird reactions to waxing too. There is a cream by sally Hansen that comes in their at home waxing kits, and I swear that is the only thing that helps the redness and bumps go down for me. I have never found it sold separately, but if you put it on at night you should be all good by morning or within a day at the most.

Steph and Chiquita (sorry I keep forgetting what your real name is!) - Glad your bach parties went well. Can't wait to see pics!

I got out of going to the wedding on Saturday so that was good. I ended up going to Kohl's and found 2 new pairs of shoes and an outfit for our trip. We did OK at the garage sale this weekend. It was pretty slow today, but we sold a bunch of clothes today and some little things. Yesterday was a lot busier. I swear the stuff I thought would go right away didn't sell, and the stuff I probably would have thrown in the garbage is what people were buying. We made about $1,000 between the two garage sales we had so we are using that for our excursions in Mexico. We dropped off all the stuff we didn't sell at Goodwill on the way home so hopefully we'll get some $ back on our taxes. Speaking of taxes, will any/all of you be filing jointly next year? We have legally been married since July so that is about half the year of '08. I assume we'll get more back as married than if we file separately, but I don't know anything about taxes. I always pay someone to do them for me. I can barely balance my checkbook!

Hey girls! I had a pretty good weekend. Friday i finished making my menus, luggage tags, and put the thank you letters in the photo album favors. i also cut out my programs but still have to glue to the fans.

My nephew's 1st bday party was really nice and i didnt eat any cake. And fi's reunion was fun. We missed most of it but got to see everyone for a couple of hours.

Finally on sunday fi finished putting up the molding in our family room and hallway so we moved back all of our furniture. The room looks great now.

UPDATE on my facial woes....I stuck with the neosporin and no make up the rest of the weekend and this morning I look 90% better. My face kind of stung when I put on my makeup, but I think it's because I use tinted moisturizer with sunscreen. I think the sunscreen part maybe made it sting a little. But I do look better! WWWhhhheeeewww what a relief!!

Michelle - that is awesome that you guys made so much money! OMG - I need to have a yard sale in your neighborhood! I think we are going to file single for this year and then married the following year.

Well Chicklets - I have no pics to post! .... I know....smile116.gif

I did so much running around all weekend I am sick of driving! I did get some rechargable batteries for my old camera and hope they work tonight so my daughter can take some pics of me in my dress for you guys! The batteries had to charge yesterday. One of my BM's is flaking out. I think it is because she is preggers. Every single time I call her she is taking a nap. I remember beeing sleepy all the time when I was pregnant - but dang!

I was supposed to go to her house yesterday to drop off all of my serving dishes for my bach party this weekend and the first time I called she was taking a nap, then 2 hours later she left to go shopping. I ended up taking everything to my MOH's house. They haven't told me anything about the party except that we are having champagne and a chocolate fountain - oh and everyone is buying their wigs! My MOH got a cute hot pink wig. I bought two over the weekend, but not sure which one I'll wear.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
