This is what I have for my OOT bags already:
Suduku book
Bath and Body Works travel size lotion
Chap-stick
Immodium & Advil packets (a couple packets of each per bag)
Playing Cards
First Aid Kit
Color changing cups (The same ones Tara got, but mine aren't personalized. I split the order with some other BDW girls so it just has a palm tree and starfish logo and says Riviera Maya, Mexico on the bottom)
I got sand toys and swim goggles to put in the bags for rooms with kids

I plan on getting snacks, bottled water, post cards and maybe some brochures or other Mexico related items when we get to Mexico. Do you think there is anything else I need to get? I was going to get travel sized sunscreen, but Mike said peopel will bring their own. Then I thought maybe travel candles, but I haven't seen any and then I would need to get matches too.

Do you think what I have is enough, or do you have other items that I don't have that you can share to give me some ideas?
I think that's plenty for an OOT bag. I went way overboard and have too much stuff for mine. I think i'll be giving away some of my stuff like mini footballs and beach balls. My fi said the same thing your fi said about the sunscreen. One thing that I thought were a good idea was to put in the shout stain wipes. They sell them in target in travel section, think you get 4 for $1. If your guests are anything like me when they eat they'll need them.

I am getting married the day after Halloween. I was thinking of asking everyone to bring a costume to change into after our welcome dinner on Halloween day. Our resort is really big and has multiple bars and even a club. Do you all think it is asking for too much? I don't want to over-burden my guests by asking them to bring costumes, but Halloween is one of our favorite days of the year! I wanted to award a prize for the most creative costume too! Maybe a nice bottle of tequila since we will be in Mexico.

Ok ladies, I had my makeup lesson and 'trial' last night with the sweetest lady who came to my house. It looked FAB! I took some pics, but haven't had any time to post them anywhere yet.

But now I feel confident with doing my own makeup for the big day, so I'm not as worried about that. I didn't bother getting a hair trial done because, well, the hairdresser won't be coming with me, so who cares if she can do it well or not?!?! LOL. I'm counting on the talented Dominican ladies at the resort to work wonders with my hair based on a few photos I have.

I still have one last hair appointment before I go for a little cut, colour and highlight. I can't wait! I've refrained from highlighting for about a year, and simply just used a semi-permanent one tone so I'm excited to have a bit more oomph to my hair again.

Anyone else going to do a big post-wedding chop? I can't wait to have short hair again!

Left to do this week:

* talk to AHR musician and confirm

* go for first tanning appointment!

* make luggage tags

* print favor tags

* have final fitting of dress this weekend with my Mom!

How has everyone's week been so far?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
