I was just thinking about this and said something to FI about it. He laughed! I think I've worn lingerie once, and like you it was on for 30 seconds. But I am going to get at least 1 thing. I figure you have to wear lingerie on your wedding night, right?!

OH NO Tara! WT heck is going on at the hotel?? Where are you staying? The bag is kind of thin too, but it's very long. PM me your address and I'll get it to you. I first have to find a bag for my dress though. I need a kids size bag because my dress isn't very long. I am going to find one this weekend.

I got it at Davids Bridal. It was like $10

Well, at least you didn't waste anything on your programs. Some people don't realize what fun it is to go on vacation. Until they do it just once - they just won't get it. I am sorry that he did this. Larry must be just over him already.

I was thinking of bringing one for the wedding night. We'll have the kids with us so we can't be too "intimate". His mom will have them a couple of nights with her - but for the most part we'll have them.

OH - I forgot to tell you guys - in my half ass attempt at weight loss, I went to the DR yesterday and I lost 4 lbs! I am such a yo-yo but still consider it a success!

I vowed from today out to omit all sugar and drink only water. I have been breaking out from all the junk and diet coke.

Danielle, my mom has been trying to buy me "outfits" as you hilariously call them. But my FI first of all like me better in a t-shirt and panties (bless the man) and also says "it come off in a matter of minutes". We arent the dress up types either so I agree with Celina, one outfit for the wedding night, that is if we arent too wiped, ha!!

Celina, way to go on the weight loss gotta love the unexpected kind woohoo!!

I told my FI I would ask you ladies this one... the night before our wedding we are going off property to our fav restraunt Ruth's Chris, a fancy-ish steak house. We want anyone who wants to join us to come but we dont want topay for everyone. So is there a way to invite people without implying we are paying there way?

cool i'm gonna look for an "outfit" or two 2morrow. then i'll be in pjs the rest of the week.

I probably could just get away with my bathing suit. I tried on my bikinis yesterday and showed fi to see if i looked okay in them. He was all revved up, raring to go after. lol sorry if TMI!

Steph I have 2 suggestions:

1. I would just mention it to everyone during the day that you guys are going off the resort to get something to eat if they wanted to join you.

2. or if you are doing a welcome letter or something like that. I would put it on there like "We are going off the resort to one of our favorite restuarants, Ruth's. If anyone would like to join us contact us so we can set it up. Since the restaurant is off the resort it is not included with your all inclusive packages. Maybe you can get a copy of the menu so people can see prices and include in your welcome packet.

Hi Girls! Sorry I am so MIA lately.. it seems the closer to the wedding.. the less I'm interested in all the small stuff that still has to be done etc etc.

I get my dress back from the hemming on October 4th. So hopefully when I try it on it's just good to go and doesn't need any other alterations.

October 5th is my shower.. I AM excited about that :)

I booked my hotel in Seattle today for the night before we leave. Then we can leave the car parked there for 14 days.. all for a pretty good rate.. so I'm glad that's done.

I also have to take my cats in to the vet today to get all their shots updated.. because the kitty hotel needs them to be all up to date on shots. I'm worried about this.. my babies hate the vet and it's going to be a bit of an ordeal. I couldn't even get my baby boy into his carrier.. he refused and I was sweating trying to get him in there. It took Jayson 4 tries before he could get him in.. heh!

I can't remember if I told you guys this or not, but after Jayson's dad had his heart attack he also found out he has stomach cancer! And diabetes!! So we still aren't sure if he will travel and come to the wedding. Ugh.. I feel so bad for Jayson but there is not alot we can do.

I'm pretty much unhappy about the lack of RSVP responses that we got. My MOH had to email a bunch of people to remind them to send them back.. but we are still missing lots. It just bums me out I spent so much time and effort on them and I don't even get the decency of a response. Grrr! This could be the reason I'm so not wedding-focused lately. I'm ready to go to Maui and marry my Jayson but all the other stuff just seems to be wasted effort.

I'm still working on my scrapbooks but they are coming along nicely. I'm happy with the pages I created and I think I will give them to my BM's before we go to show them. Then I'll keep them to finish them off with Hawaii and wedding pages and give them for good after that.

Tara - I bought my wedding bag at David's Bridal for like $10. It will do the job :)

Hmmm what else... I'll post as I think of it.

I'm excited our time is almost here ladies! It's been going by pretty fast :)

Lisa i really dont feel like doing all the small stuff too. I'm anxious to just get married and enjoy my vacay.

I'm sorry about Jaysons dad. When it rains it poors. That's awful for Jayson.

My dogs hate the vet too. I usually take them to petsmart and get them a special treat. Maybe just get them a special treat when you get home to ease the pain a little after the vet.

On a positive note, i cant wait to see your dress. And yay for your shower coming up.

I have a dress fitting on Monday. I'm going to take my camera with new batteries so my mom can take a pic on my camera so i can finally post a pic of my dress.

Yeah Steph, just say something casually to everyone like, "Hey, RJ and I are going to Ruth Chris' for dinner. You guys are more than welcome to join us if you'd like. Dinners run around $45 each. Let us know so we can adjust the number on our reservation". Make sure you tell them of the price of the dinner which I think most people would assume you are telling them so they don't think you are paying.

Lisa - my gosh, you guys have been through the wringer! I hope things get better soon and the cats do okay at the vet.

Well Ladies - I am going to sign off for today. I have tons to do at home and we have the meeting to look at the room at the church for our AHR reception tomorrow. One of my BM's just called and said they cancelled their camping trip so they may go with us to the church. I am so happy and hope they can come with us. She has a knack of saying what I am thinking and we have the same taste.

I am trying to find a SUPER CHEAP centerpiece for our tables too for our AHR. If anyone has any ideas, please share! I want a beachy theme, but I don't want to spend a ton of money because I am almost tapped out! I am thinking sea shells but don't know what else from there. I may have to hit some dollar stores and see.

Hey - has anyone heard from Jessica? She has been MIA for a while.

That's it on my end! Have a nice weekend! smile29.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
