I don't blame you for looking into it too much. Brunch may be too early for a shower, but what if at brunch more plans are made and then it leads into the shower? Otherwise the shower could be after getting the make-up done. Did you tell them you have an outfit to wear to your shower? If they are planning a casual gathering for it, they may not think you need to dress up. Or if there is a theme and there could be costumes, and it doesn't matter what you are wearing when you get there, because you will be redressed anyways! Hmmm...now I am thinking into it too much! LOL

OMG Erica, you have me picturing myself dressing up in all kinds of weird costumes like a pirate, hula dancer, haha. I'm cracking up now.

I'll just have to wait and see. In the meantime i have been changing my registry like crazy. I've been going back and fourth between these two things and every other day i switch it back to what it was. Were any of you girls this bad with your registries?

Your bachelorette weekend sounds like so much fun Amy! Enjoy it!

Well, I just got home from my weekend in the city and my bridal shower today. It was so great and I had so much fun!!! I will get the pics off my Mom's camera tomorrow (Mon) when I go over there, since it was getting late when we got back to town. She just got back from her cruise yesterday, and has gifts for us, but didn't want to hand then out at the shower. Coming home I actually had to leave the crook pit behind because there was literally NO room left in the van, unless I leftmy Mom, sister, Hailey or Justin behind!!!!
That is awesome! I can't believe you had to leave gifts behind. Hopefully, you can get them back.

I told her i would ask fi if he wants to go to brunch. Now normally my fi would probably say he didn't feel like it because he's not one to dress up so if he says Yes than it could be my shower. But i think brunch would be too early she didn't give me a time.

See this is driving me crazy, i am looking into everything way too much.
The brunch has to be your shower! My shower was a brunch and started at 11:00. I'm so excited you finally have a possibility, the suspense has been killing me! Ha ha! I tried to stay away from my registeries, but I started changing things. I would get the Pottery Barn and Crate and Barrel catalogs and find things I wanted, or liked better so I would change stuff. I changed the bedding the most, and we didn't get any of it at our shower. All that work for nothing! We had also registered for that big margarita maker, and I took it off because it wasn't really a necessity and I figured no one would buy it. Well, after the shower, my cousin asked why we didn't register for that. She saw it at the store and thought it would be something I would like and she wanted to get it, but it wasn't on the registry. Who knew!?

So your shower was a brunch. I was thinking about it and the place we are going to "brunch" at is the place that fsil really wanted her baby shower at. So i can see her pushing to have my shower there. It would be a perfect weekend for my mom to have it too, every weekend she goes to the mountains with my dad but this Saturday she has a craft show she will be selling jewelery at so I can see her having the shower on Sunday since she would be home anyway.

But fsil keeps acting like brunch isn't definate yet she has to ask her parents if they still want to go. maybe they are just trying to throw me off. So i'm going to be dressed up on Sunday with my digital camera in my purse if we go to brunch.

I'm going on the 27th to get my makeup done. I'm going to make an appointment for the Laura Mercier counter at Neiman Marcus or Nordstroms. FSIL is going to get her makeup done at Bare Escentials.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
