I am sure that the M&Ms would make the trip fine, especially since you are in Phoenix which is a lot closer to the caribbean temps then the good ol Alberta temps.

Everytime I go somewhere tropical, we always get a cold streak up here. When I say cold, I mean, advisories for people to stay indoors, skin freezing in seconds...

The last time we were in the Dominican, it was 35 celsius down there and -35 plus the windchill up here!!! That is a big temp difference which is why I decided not to get the M&Ms in the end!!!

We have a lot already, but new stuff is nice - plus I want a floor scrubber! I bought a carpet cleaner last week because it couldn't wait.
I finished my packing brochure yesterday, i could post pics of that. It came out pretty good. I'll have to bring my camera to my first dress fitting in a week and a half. Although i still won't like the dress on me, i'll still take a pic to show you girls so you can at least see my dress.

Have fun registering. What carpet cleaner did you buy last week? I registered for one but i'm not sure if it's a good one. Did you post pics of your invites on the the forum? I'll have to find them.

Erica, you just reminded me about the Welcome booklet i have to start on. Are you handing yours out when you get done there or before you go?
My dress fitting went pretty well. It zipped so that was good, but it is a little tight in the waist. I mean tight as in I can barely breathe! I'm going to have to continue to watch what I eat and exercise to make sure I don't gain any weight and if I lose a few pounds that would be preferred. I had forgotten what it looked like since I got it last December! It is so pretty though. I didn't get any pics this time around because it was all pinned up since everywhere, but the waist needs some major removal! I wanted to have her take the netting out underneath the dress because I didn't really want a poufy dress. She recommended that she take in the sides first to see how I like it since she thought it might be looking too poufy since there was so much extra material. She also wouldn't be able to put the netting back in once she took it out so she wanted to make sure I like it. I have to go back in two weeks for my second fitting and take my sister with so she can be measured for the flower girl dress. I will get pics then so you can see what it looks like once it fits me better!

OMG MIchelle - you are a nut! I was cracking up!

Yes - let's see the brochure! We got Bissell. I forgot what model, but it's the one that keeps the water hot in the machine. It works really good! Our carpets looked almost new again!

My daughter thinks it's kind of orangey - I'm not sure. FI hasn't even seen it! What do you think?

I love your invites, very pretty! Your hair color doesn't look orange to me. I wish I could get my hair to look so full like yours. Now that it is long it just hangs! I can't wait to chop it after the wedding.

Thank you! I have it in layers. That's probably why it looks so full. Plus I curled it all. My hair is naturally curly, so sometimes I just wear it down and curly. What is ironic is now that I've grown it out I want to wear it up for the wedding! I am still trying to figure out a hair style. I was watching Oprah and the stylists were saying that if you need a little umph to just color your hair. So that's why I did it.. I was looking for some UMPH!

Then for the wedding I was thinking to pull it back off my face (Sort of like Glenda's) and leave the sides and back down - but then Good old Oprah - the stylists said that pulling your hair completely off your face with hair line exposed is not flattering. SO THEN... I was thinking bangs!

But I know from past experience, me and bangs never get along. I have no idea how I am wearing my hair for the wedding. I already bought an expensive veil and I am definitely wearing it. UGH....decisions....decisions!

How are you guys wearing your hair? Any thoughts?

I was going crazy with my hair being so boring while I was growing it out so my hair stylist gave me bangs. I liked them at first and got a lot of compliments on them, but they are driving me crazy! I'm growing them out now so they will be longer for the wedding. Right now they are in my eyes, so I usually just pin them up or wear a headband! I have a few pictures saved of hairstyles that I like, but my hair will be all up in the back, but low. My bangs will be parted to the side in the front. I have a veil and ordered a head piece (which reminds me was supposed to be in this month, need to call on that), but haven't decided it I will wear that or just a flower. My stylist is going to do my hair trial with a couple different options and then take pictures so I can bring those down with me to Mexico for them to recreate.

Celina your hair doesn't look orangey at all to me, maybe it was the lighting when she saw it. I'm really jealous of your naturally curly hair, i have poker straight hair and ALWAYS wanted curly hair.

I hate wearing my hair up and i'm not wearing a veil. i want to wear my hair down with a wavy curl in it and put a flower in it like pull the hair behind my hair with the flower clip. kwim? I can't find a pick of exactly what i want. i do have some pics of the kind of curl i want. let me see where i have them saved.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
