Tonight I am going to buy my God daughter some new shoes for school.

Tomorrow evening we are having a game night with our friends at our house. I cleaned up our patio, put some new pillows on the furniture and am going to string some lights tonight. We're having an appetizer pot luck.

Sunday I am coming to work to get some stuff done.

I'll be home alone Sunday night - FI is going to a Fantasy Football draft.

I personally wouldn't hide it. You're all adults now and you made the decision based on what was right for you. I'm sure he'll respect that even if he doesn't necessarly agree with it.

In the past, things I've tried to hide or keep secret alwasy end up biting me in the ass.

i'm in a pissy mood today. you know those days where you feel super crazy fat all over? Like you're going to bust out of your clothes. That's how I feel today. And I'm pissed. It's 2 months until the wedding and I'm not at the weight I wanted to be at. And we were engaged for 1.5 years +. So It's not like I didn't have the time. So basically I feel super fat, and in feeling super fat i'm really pissed off at myself for being such a slacker.
I feel like that everyday! At this point as long I can tone up my arms and try to get rid of my chin fat I'll be OK. I just need to get one of those sausage casings they call spanx to suck everything else in. Ha ha!

My question after this whole long story is....should I tell my dad or not?

What was sad is the two kids I spoke to (who are now in their 20's) both asked about my dad and said to tell him hi. He was the only grandfather they knew.

My dad has a new wife (yes - wife #3) and she is kind of insecure about the step kids so my dad has always stood away. When the step kids have seen her, they are always overly nice to her to make her feel comfortable, but it is still awkward. What should I do? I am thinking of just keeping my little secret all to myself.
I think you have to tell him only because he might find out on his own eventually and he might be more upset that you didn't tell him than he will be if you tell him.

Have you worn Spanx before? I tried them last december for a wedding i was in and as soon as the ceremony was over, i was in the bus' bathroom ripping the f'ers off. SOOO uncomfortable. And honestly, i didn't see the difference in having them on VS not having them on.

Hey there everyone. I thought that I would pop on quickly while I am waiting for Larry to get home, and then we are heading back to the camp ground 30 mins out. I had to work this morning, so that is why I am in town at all.

Steph - I am so sorry to hear that you will no longer be a police officer. I really hope that you can find something else that you will be able to enjoy. How is your back doning since the injections?

Celina - I think that is awesome that you are reconnecting with your step-siblings. I think you should tell your Dad about it as well, but I don't think you have to call him tonight and tell him. If I was in your position, I would talk to your step sister and see how that goes. Then you can tell your Dad that you did end up contacting them and that the grandkids say hi, and tell him how things went.

Ok, as for the fat thing, I have totally not lost the weight I was planning to, but I still braved the camera and posed in little outfits. I didn't feel fat either, mind you I didn't feel super skinny. I picked outfits that don't show all the skin and then she posed me in ways that I felt like I was totally pulling it off. I guess we will have to wait for the pics to see, but I would totally encourage anyone to do it, even if you haven't lost all the weight. Besides, like I started saying to myself, he loves me the way I am, and that is what these pics are of....me!!! Don't let your weight stop you from doing something that your FI/DH would totally love. I bet everyone's man would still want the pics, even if you had not lost any weight!!!! I think that if I lose a lot more weight by next year, I might do it again for him for the paper anniversay!!

Well, I will have to run for a few more days. Work was crazy today, and unless things are noce and calm at work tomorrow or Sun, I probably won't be on again until Sun night.

Take care Nov girls!

Celina--Wow, what a story! I think its great that you made the effort to reconnect with them. I would also tell your Dad...like everyone else said, you wouldn't want him to find out from someone else and then he thinks you're being sneaky or something.

We are blocked off the internet at work, which really sucks, if not I would log in once in a while to chat! I don't know what I'm doing this wknd ladies...I have a lot of cleaning to do, that's for sure. I havent been to the shore all summer, I wouldn't mind going even though I cant stand to see myself in a bathing suit.

I've had so long to lose weight and I have been such a slacker...I have lost nothing (except 2-3 lbs here and there)....now I have exactly 90 days left and I'm wondering if I could make a difference in those 3 months if i really eat good and workout 4-5 times a week...what do ya'll think??

I think we all still have time to make a difference in the weight situation. For me the problem is sticking with it!!!! I do good for about 2 weeks, see some weight loss, and then start eating the like shit again, and so the cycle continues.

OMG, I do the same thing!!! Isnt it crazy?! I hate it...I just want to stick with it once and for all. I really would like people to see me on my wedding day and say "wow, she lost some weight!" but most importantly I'm doing it for me....I want to feel better about myself, its been a long time.

I'm so with you on this!! And it's weird because I would think seeing the scale drop would help keep the motivation up, but I guess it makes me go "oh i can eat the cup cake" WTF?!

I really want a life change. I don't just want to diet for the wedding, i want it to be part of my every day life, eating healthy and tell myself NO.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
