Michelle, it looks like I am going to have left over OOT bags, do you still want them? I will know for sure in 2 weeks.

I should know in 2 weeks if I will need more so that works out perfectly. August 15 is our deadline for the RSVPs. I do think we will need a couple more than what we have so most likely I will buy them off you. Thanks so much!

We sat for an hour last night and talked through a lot of the issues. I am so happy now!

So that was my only bridezilla moment for the weekend. OH - and my son got into the little activity kits I was putting together for the little boys during our reception. It was actually a blessing in disguise. They were "Cars" stamp sets with paper and stickers I bought at the dollar store. He got ink ALL OVER his hands and face. Both of his hands are blue! After I found his mess - I asked myself- What are you thinking? Giving little boys blue ink pads to stamp with?? I could just imagine my son running up to me at the reception with blue hands all over my ivory dress! I decided to pre-stamp some papers and give them crayons and stickers instead!

We have our "assembly party" this weekend so I have lots to get prepared for and lots to do on Saturday. OH - yeah, FI and I also started our weightloss crackdown today! Chicken, veggies, fruit and water, water, water! We are also going to choose one day to cheat. 97 days and counting!
It's good that you worked things out with your FI. That is also a good thing that you found out about the stamps!

Good luck with the weight loss ladies. I'm hoping to lose some more pounds myself, but haven't been doing so good. Maybe you all will be my inspiration! smile123.gif

I will post pics of the dress but I dropped it off at my Mom's lastnight when I got back to town, and I didn't have time to take a pic since I had to get to work. I have pasted the link to it but the dress is white with brown print, and then there are little orange dots in the print on the bands of fabric. I will post pics of me in the dress friday night. The best thing is that the dress is made for girls with big tata's so I don't even have to wear a bra, since it has a built in one!

There is one other person that I know of that is getting married on Aug 13th or something for their DW. They are on the August 08 thread. Then there are a few people having their DW on the 8th too. I like it because of the date 08/08/08. It does happen to be my birthday too, and 8 is my lucky number so it should all work good.

I am glad to hear that you and your Shawn were able to talk things through. It always feels better after you get stuff off your chest, especially in stressful times, which this is for all of us.

How was everyone's weekend? Mine was okay. I think we finally picked a first dance song.

I'm hoping to start the Welcome Packets this week or weekend. I started to gather some info for them.
I was at work lastnight and when I was asked when I work again, I said Sat, and then I realized that the next time I work, I will be a legally married woman! Yikes!! Other than that I am actually very calm about the whole thing. It will probably hit me and I will probably be very excited/nervous on Friday, since we aren't having the legal ceremony until 7pm, since we have to wait for MOH to get to town. She is getting off work early to come out for it too.

My weekend was pretty good. I left town to go visit with my MOH and get my legal day dress (which I can also wear in the Dominican for whatever!). I ended up getting soap making supplies and made a few soaps for the OOT bags. I will take some pics later today after I make a few more of them. Fri night I got a bunch of beading done on Hailey's dress. Yesterday I came home and went to work for another nurse. I was in ER but I only ended up having 3 patients for the Dr to see, 2 IV therapy's and a couple girls on the floor did an IV therapy for me and a dressing change since I was in with 2 different maternity's. I love maternity patients, so I was soooo glad that emerg wasn't busy. It is ball weekend here, it is the largest slowpitch tournament in Canada. We have teams from California that come up for the tourny. There are 321 teams in it I think, and by the end of Aug the tourney is usually booked up and a waiting list of teams is started for the following year. The people in town that don't go party (it is a good party!!!) or paly ball usually leave town. Even with half our town gone, the population here over the weekend is still double what it usually is. Lastnight they had Harliquin and Nazareth playing so everyone was behaving while I was on shift. Aug long around here is known as "Ball Weekend"

That is exciting you picked your song for the first dance. I haven't thought about it too much, but I think we are going to have the musical trio anyway.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
