The reminder letter is a good idea. I would do some post cards from Vista Print - they have a lot for free right now.

Yep - weddingtropics.com - that is the same place. These guys better get on the ball! I was going to take the measurement instructions from the weddingtropics website with us when we go to Dillards to get pants and just have the seamstress or someone there measure the guys exactly how the weddingtropics people want - write down the measurements for each guy then order the shirts.

What are your wedding colors Danielle?

I am not sure what to do. My dress is ivory. Should FI wear an ivory shirt with ivory embroidery natural linen pants or white linen pants?

OR should he wear white linen pants, white linen shirt with ivory embroidery?

I have just seen so many group photos (look at the weddingtropics website) where you really can't tell the groom apart from the rest of the group.

Since my MOH's dress is a seafoam green, I am going to match the best man's shirt with her dress, and our other two BM's dresses are teal. Same style as MOH, just teal. We are going with white linen shirts and teal embroidery for the Groomsmen.

My FG dress is white. My RB - I haven't decided what he is going to wear. I better decide quick!

I would say white shirt and white embroidery for your FI (or Ivory embroidery) If the guys are wearing khaki pants and your FI wants to stand out a little more then have him where the white linen.

I know my FI is wearing a white shirt with khaki linen pants and his best man is wearing the green shirts with khaki pants so that is how my FI is sticking out (different shirt colors)

Celina I think your fi should wear a white shirt with the ivory embroidery and the natural linen pants. IMO a white shirt with white linen pants is too much white. Im sure it would look good, i'm just not a big fan of all that white KWIM.

I think he would stand out fine from the guys since the embroidery would be different.

God i've changed colors so many times now, but the one color that is fore sure is turqoise. my girls dresses are turqoise (i only have 2 bms so they have same dress). For guys my fi is wearing a long sleeve shirt with turqoise embroidery. The gms are wearing short sleeved white linen shirt with the turqoise embroidery. all are wearing natural linen pants. i thought the sleeves being different would be enough. It's so hard to figure out what will good in pics and what is enough to make your fi stand out without seeing all together.

And i do like how you are having the Moh and BestMan match and than the bms and gms match. I think that will look really nice.

I need some opinions too:

I bought turqoise raffia fans for my ceremony programs and i'm going to attach a program to them. Kind of like this thread:

http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t7819

I'm going to use white paper to pring the programs. I'm not sure if i'm going to put a piece of paper under the white to give it a little something. I was thinking about green like lime green paper under. Im going to wrap ribbon around the whole handle of the fan. I can't decide what color ribbon white or lime green? do you think white will get too dirty or should i not even worry about that? I wanted to put a starfish or seashell right at the top of the handle too.

anyone have any opinions of what they think will look good?

I also like the idea of the White shirt and the natural linen pants Celina.

I was looking at the wedding shirts before, but FI wasn't too excited about them. He is wearing a white short sleeved shirt and khakis and the groomsmen are wearing a tan shirt with blue-ish palm tree print and khakis. RB is wearing white shirt and khaki shorts.

My dress is white with turquoise, the FG is wearing a matching dress to mine, BM are going to have different styles but in turquoise.

My Mom is making the girls dresses and we had teal material for them, but when my dress came in, it was turquoise, not teal. Now we are going to get some new material and then start working on them.

I am going to do turquoise and lime green together and it will look fantastic I think!! But I'm biased.. heh. I'm wrapping my fans handles with turquoise and lime.. and people can just grab whatever colour they want. IMO white will get dirty.. but does it really matter? Probably not.. they are only going to be used for a short time.. just make sure to get any pics of them before they are used :)

Hmmm....Do you have lime green ribbon? I think that would look good depending on the shade of it. You could try it, otherwise I wold just go with white. I don't think they will get too dirty. I have read that the coloured fans tend to stain hands if they get warm, so I would definately put ribbon around. I like the idea of the seashell or starfish too. Are you going to put real ones or charms? I have a bunch of little real starfish, so I think that I might use them. How are you planning to attach the program to the fan? I have seen a few different ways people have done it, but I am not sure which way I prefer.

I'm going to attach the programs with either glue gun or glue dots. I never used glue dots but i would think they'd be neater. Susan the bride from the thread i posted wish she had done the hot glue because threading the fan was a pain. I know i don't have the patience for that. but it did look nice.

I think i'm going to buy a couple different green ribbons and white one and see which i like better. I'm going to use real starfish or seashells.

We are going to get some nautral and some turquoise fans and then probably wrap the handles with the opposite colour. Maybe I should get those ordered. I haven't used the glue dots either, but I do have my glue gun that hasn't failed me yet!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
