One more thing to cross off my list today :) Me and my 2 BM's went dress shopping and we found their dresses!! The are just off the rack at a store called Mariposa.. one will have to be taken in a bit but they are quite simple.. just a white background with a turquoise print on them.. I forgot to take a pic but one of my BM's said she would so I can have it for my wedding folder of pics... Yay!

hi to all the november 08 brides!

what i'm doing so i don't go crazy and freak out is i have set some goals that i need to complete each month. if you want me to send you my checklist, PM me. i'm here for all of you!

so far I have:

purchased my dress

made all my deposits

bought the groom's suit

purchased wedding bands (we're legally married here in california so don't panic if you do not have yours yet - you have lots of time)

purchased beach mats for OOT bags

booked photographer

found my flower girl dress

purchased best man outfit

so for May I need to:

find shoes

purchase my MOH dress - we just found it yesterday!

research items for favors

for all of you who are making OOT bags - i would suggest buying things here and there starting now through the summer. remember by our wedding date it is already fall/winter so all the cute summer/tropical stuff will be all gone.

now that i have revisited my checklist and reread this post looks i have a little OCD in me haha! yeah i'm way too organized. well if anyone of you needs any help - do not hesitate to ask me!

Yep - I'm going to start a project list this weekend. I need to get more organized. I have a lot of little ideas in my head of things I need to do, but then I see all of these great ideas on this site and start all over!!

We found my MOH's dress when I tried on dresses for the last time to make up my mind which one I was going to get for sure. My MOH didn't want to try on dresses that day but was ambushed by my Mom and my Aunt. The last dress she tried on was perfect for her, and the only reason that they grabbed that one for her to try on was because it had chiffon and was in her size!

My sister is standing up for me as well and she has tried on countless dresses (because she loves trying on clothes) and looks great in everything, although she is not allowed to wear anything with a low neck line, as she is VERY well endowed in the chest, and I told her that if anyone is going to stop and be staring during the wedding, they are going to be staring at me! LOL. Anyway, she has picked out a dress that she wants as well.

Now it is just a matter of picking out the dresses for the other 2 BM that I have asked, but we are still waiting to see if they are going to be coming for sure.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
