After my last post I saw my siggy. OMG 6 months 2 weeks left. I started to tear up and than panic struck. WTH where did all my time go. I feel like I have nothing done. I couldn't do much during tax season since I was working all week and all weekend so i never noticed the time flying by. I did buy a whole bunch of stuff for Welcome Bags/OOT bags and my favors, both of which could of waited to get done. But besides that all I have done is purchased my dress, send STDs, Oh Crap i think that's it!

I have to make a list of what i have to do. So what do you all you Nov brides or any other brides have done at this point?

I'm totally freaking!!!

Oh that is so funny! I was thinking the same thing, I mean it sounds like a lot of time but I remember when my ticker was in the double digits. You are ahead of me in the OOT department. I was going to try to wait until we had a better head count to order stuff. I have my dress and my flowergirls and MOH dress done. Have my FI ring bought, mine has been done for awhile. Need to finalize his outfit and his guys and my dad. Have DJ booked, flowers and centerpieces picked, but thats about it. Stressing about the dumb OOTs though, want them to be cute but dont want to spend too much! Ahhhh feel better now that I got that out. Phew thanks for starting this thread.

Dont feel so bad, I haven't done much either...I'm also waiting to get a better head count before starting my OOT bags; although I have been picking up things here and there bc I cant help it...for the OT bags I bought travel candles and the spanish dummy books. Other things I have done is: purchased my dress, my starfish bouquet jewelry, sent STDs, BM's have ordered their dresses (except one slacker), and I bought my "table-number" holders. I feel like I have a ton to do but dont know whats priority, agghhhh

I'm with you! I thought we still had so much time, but man it's really coming up quickly!

But you are definitely ahead of me. I haven't even begun to purchase things for our OOT bags. But really, I don't feel I have a lot to do. Basically just the OOT bags.... put I'm sure there are things I'm not thinking of!

As of now, the things left on my mental to-do, which obviously isn't fool proof! is buy FIs wedding wear, find MOH dress, fix wedding band so it fits better with E ring, but OOT stuff. Oh, and seating chart, and wedding songs. But I think that's about it...... i hope anyway!

Starting buying for OOT bags, but can't really finished that until I know numbers

Sent out STD's

Started scrapbook for BM's (part of their gift)

Registered at Linens N' Things

Still left to do:

Find BM dresses (going shopping on april 27th)

Find Jayson's wedding attire

Order my wedding band

Get dress altered for hem and add in booby cups

Find flower for hair and figure out how I want it in an updo

Wait impatiently for people to book

Buy GM gifts

Send out boarding pass invite

That's all I can think of so far.. I'll add to it as I think of things..

Well, let's see.

I have my dress but am waiting to be skinnier to do the alterations, bought FI's suit and pants for the best man. I still need to buy accessories for my dress and go dress shopping with my sister for her BM dress. I booked the mariachi and need to send an email to the WC to reserve the Portofino restaurant for my reception. I have my OOT canvas bags but still need to have my stepbrother screenprint them, got my travel mugs. Need to buy cuban wedding shirts for FI and best man and a tropical shirt for my dad & maybe my stepdad.

We have booked the photographer for Mexico, the hall, caterer and dj for the AHR. Planning on ordering AHR invites tonight (still on sale). Have to make some more deposits sad.gif

I also need to pick up some more stuff for the OOT bags (maraca pens, tropical notepads, homemade cd's).

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
