September 2008 Brides

I still have to start on my welcome letters. I wanted to do something similiar as my info brochures, but those took me a while and I don't think I'll have time. I also have to finish adding some ribbon and starfish charms on a few more raffia fans and I think I'm done. I have my second dress fitting this Saturday, then my final on Sept 6th.

My FMIL and her daughter just told me they haven't purchased their dresses yet, which worries me a little! Why would you wait until the last minute?!

Also, I have to go to the DMV (which may take hours because of the strike going on in CA) because I need to change my address on my license so we can get legally married. We need to show proof that we live together (which we don't yet) in order to get a confinential marriage license. That will take a good chunk of my time smile41.gif

STRESS! I need to go for some of my spa treatments!
Ahhh, I feel you! We went back and forth on our prenup discussion and I didn't even want to see him because I was so angry that he couldn't make up his mind on our prenup details! It was so stressful and so emotional (well, I was being emotional about it). At the end, I'm so happy we did it and everything we came into agreement with. TAKE YOUR SPA DAY!!

I pick up my dress tomorrow. The first one was ruined by the seamstress so I found another (which was little tight) but the new seamstress is a miracle worker. The dress fits perfect! I just have to get placecards made and FI's pants hemmed. Yesterday I decided that I hated my flowers and went out and bought new ones and made all new bouquets and bouts. I need to stop looking at the stuff and call it done! I did change the reception room to one with a small dance floor. I am having it at a restaurant and originally planned for only 25 people but now I have 32 confirmed. I figured I needed a larger room. I have officially lost the 20 lbs I was targeting! The waiting is killing me, I want to leave tomorrow! Good luck to all of you, I know your weddings will be beautiful and thanks to everyone that gave me good ideas.

We are taking four suitcases. Anything that won't fit in my stuff will go with my Mom. smile72.gif

That will be so fun to be on the same flight!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
