Does anyone know of any websites that have cheap rental cars? I saw a commercial the other day for a car site, but can't remember the website. Also, does anyone have any online coupon codes for rental car companies? I would love to rent a convertable, but they seem to be so expensive so most likely a mid-size car.

I'm looking for either 2 options.

May 28th drop off close to Clearwater Beach, FL 5pm

June 2 drop off at Tampa Airport (TPA) 7pm

I know dollar rent a car is usually cheap but I had really bad luck with them.
My DH used to work for Enterprise so we usually just rent through them because we know the service will be good and we know how they take care of the cars.

I always use National and have never had a problem. If you do a google search for 'national car rental coupon codes' you can find a whole bunch of deals.

Dropping the car off at a different location usually costs a whole bunch of money if they even let you do it. Keeping the car for the extra time would probably save you money or at lest break even.

I don't remember who we went through, but when we got a car for Vegas we wanted to get a nice car (we planned on going through a drive thru chapel in it.) We paid for a Dodge Charger or similar. All the convertibles weren't available because we were there during some huge convention.

Anyways- in the eyes of the rental company "or similiar" meant mini-vans. We were pissed because all that was left were mini vans. We eventually saw a nissan altima left and RAN to it so the old people walking next to us got stuck with the mini van.

I often use priceline - you can name your own price! What I do is check out average prices on sites like Orbitz, Expedia, etc. and then go lower than that on Priceline.

I am not sure what the best company is. but if you have a Sam's club membership (or tell them you do) you can get a discount!

I always use this site to find great car rental deals.

I rented a car in WI (Nissan Sentra) Fri-Monday with GPS for under $100 this past weekend.
