Ok first of all, your FSIL is a bitch (oops- sorry.) I can't stand sneaky crap like that. I like my people open and honest, just like me. My goodness- I'm so glad you have an easy going temperment because I would have been so pissed and then I would have ruined my wedding too! For that, you rock.

Second, the brother got beat up? That was random. Who did it? Did you find out?

Third- the most important part- I'm so happy you guys had a great time. I'm even happier the reception was such a hit. No doubt that will be a big memory for all your guests too.

I guess BIL was walking from the disco back to his room and 4 guys jumped him - he was totally wasted and never really told the whole story - so pretty sure he probably was mouthing off to them or something - but when we first saw him he was covered in blood and it was kind of scary. Then the security guards came and they thought HE was the one that started it or something so Aaron and his other brother started yelling at the security guards and they really couldn't understand and everyone was drunk - then a bunch of hotel people came and talked to BIL in his room, meanwhile the other guys are trying to talk to the security guards but it turned into them saying "policia policia" like they were going to call the police - so I freaked out of course and then somehow everyone went back to there rooms - ARGHH it was a mess! They never found who did it but there were security/hotel people EVERYWHERE after that.

ANYWAYS about the cake - it was awesome! On there website they have a little heartshaped cake for $65 which was what I decided to go with. Then we got there and ELisa my WC asked what shape/decorations I wanted - so I got to pic out the seashells/starfish and the square shape - got to decide what kind of frosting and flavor of the cake. It was actually way more awesome then I expected - probably my fave thing. So the cake cutting was right after the ceremony - in the Gazebo along with the champagne toast. Then they brought the cake to our reception afterwards so everyone could have some. It all worked out wonderfully!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
