Backless dress question

Recommended Posts

For those you have worn or plan on wearing a backless dress what did you wear for support? Has anyone used those push up adhesives from Victoria's Secret? I am wondering if they even work or not. I am wearing a backless dress and getting nervous about how to make sure everything stays in place. Haha. But seriously any advice will help... what should I look for?

Hi, Im wearing a backless dress however my dress also has thin straps as well so its able to be pretty supportive already in itself really. However, if you dont have any type of straps whatsoever ,then eys the push up bra/adhesiveswork very well from VS Ive bought some for strapless dresses before. The bra adhesives from Saks Fifth Ave( lingerie dept) are also great. I also recommend asking your seamstress/bridal salon or the person doing your alterations what they suggest as well for your specfic dress...

I bought a bra from walmart called "shantini lite". It was only $17. Much cheaper than the victoria secret one. It stays on great. I plan on testing it on a hot day too. A friend of mine said she wore one on a really humid day to a BBQ & it stayed on fine. It won't lift, but it will create cleavage by holding them together.

I would see if you can add cups to your dress.

I found that the stick on cups weren't very supportive for my girls, but if you are smaller busted they might work. (I'm a full D)

You can also look at getting the double stick tape.

Yeah I am a full D too and now thinking a backless dress wasn't the greatest idea. Oops. I have the cups built in but still scared of them falling out due to lack of support!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
