I rarely wear make up. Seriously, maybe 5 times a year, if that. But I know I should wear it on my wedding day, so I made plans with my girlfriend to go to the MAC counter tonight, get a make over, buy the stuff and she's going to re-create the look for me in Jamaica. I was planning on spending between $50 - $100. Ummm...$140!!! Seriously?!? I can't believe how much that stuff costs!

Ask for samples, MAC and other companies have deluxe samples which will be fine for a one or two time use. You can get foundation, maybe some on the treatments, sometimes lipstick, etc

I know, I spend so much on it, I am really addicted to their eyeshadows and lip glosses, but I love it.

I spent like $300 on my wedding makeup, but I am still using all of it, it has lasted me forever.

I walked out of Sephora yesterday having spent $152!!! OUCH! I have been broke lately so I had run out of foundation, powder, lipstick, etc.. I finally got a good commission check this month and was sooo excited to go get my makeup back! lol

Although I must admit I did splurge on this amazing skin care treatment by Kinerase ($85). I had received a sample of it and my skin was just AMAZING on it. When I ran out I could really tell the difference. I went and looked up the moisturizer online and it goes for $75!! I ended up finding a variety "starter" pack with it in there for only $10 more so I got that.

But yeah, makeup is very expensive. I have one "expensive/formal" foundation that I use sparingly (Georgio Armani = $50) and one for "everyday" use (Bare Minerals = $25).

So true liz. The stuff cost to much! I only wear it on special occasions so the good news is that it lasts me a really long time! I have never finished a tube of lipstick and it took me like 5 years to go through a compact of shiseido blush. Dont even talk about powder or stuff like that! I break it before I even get half way through it. Just think of it as an investment to all of your future special events.

MAC is great makeup though.. I love it but yea it's expensive. I have MAC Pro so I get a discount with my license and it still gets really costly!

Good to know. It was hard to justify spending that much but it really does work! I've been back on it for 2 days and my skin looks beautiful!!! :)
