That is great! Like a version of girls gone wild!

We are going the singing thing and I know it's going to be fun.

Mini tambourines at each place setting with little tags that say " if you wanna see us kiss, shake this!".

That's what we wanted to do, but ran out of time to get the tambourines.

I found some on eBay that would have been perfect -- like 48 for $30.

I have some last minute shopping to do while on the road for work today, so if I come across any tambourines, I'm still going to get them.

I adore the idea and we cam e up with it ourselves while at a friends house. he is like 65 and breaks out his tambo every time we come over b/c we start drinking and listening to music and it's ssoo much fun.

HAHA I like the bell-throwing story. I think it would be fun to have an instrument from the place you're going to get married, like the maracas if it's native to the place. But it would depend on the instrument, flute or something might not go over so well...

That is super cute!! I hope you find some today :) I think I'm in the same boat now - it is too late to order anything

  • 3 months later...

at my cousins wedding she had the names of animals (cow, pig, sheep, monkey etc) under each plate and if you wanted them to kiss you had to make the animal sound. (her husband is a zoologist)

it was actually quite funny and the drunker people got....im sure you guessed it, the more guests stood up to make the animal noises.

LOL - i'm sorry, but that's funny! I can picture it in my head... actually sounds like something me or one of my friends would do.

I think I posted what we're doing in another "alternatives to glass clinking" thread, but maybe I'm losing my mind (VERY possible)...and I'll post here to:-)

We (well, okay, I) made up little tent cards with a poem on them basically saying if anyone wants us to kiss, they have to answer a Three's Company trivia question :-)

It goes back to the first night my FI and I met...he tested my Three's Company knowledge:-)

If they get it right, we kiss. If they don't...not sure...maybe we'll make them do a shot of tequiila!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
