Hotel room baskets

Recommended Posts

Since there will only be 8 of us total going to Cabo for our vow renewal, I decided instead of doing OOT bags/totes, I am going to make up small baskets for the rooms and they will have all different travel size items.

I bought from Target today:

Tylenol EX-8 count

Lip Balm-.62/piece

Shampoo

Hand Sanitizer

Toilet seat covers(you never know when you will need them)

Lotions

Toothpaste

First Aid Kits(.99)

Rolaids

I can't think of anything else off the top of my head. What do you think of a basket full of goodies?

sounds like a great idea. you might want to add bottled water and a local snack to the basket when you get there. they really gouge you for bottled water in cabo!

Sounds like a great idea! I've been working on my OOT bags.

So far I have:

Spanish Book for Dummies- $1 Target

First Aid Kits- Dollar Tree

SPF 30 lip balm- Dollar Tree

I found margarita and pina coloda body butter at Dollar Tree and they actually smell good!

Avon Aloe Vera- Ebay

I bought cups from Target at $.40 a piece and decorated them- I used a paint pen to write their names and used decal rub ons of various beachy stuff (got this idea from Morgan)

I still need to get travel meds and may add a few more small things.

It's so fun buying all the goodies!

Maura-I was thinking of water when I got there too. Hopefully there will be something near by to purchase them.

Amanda, I havn't thought of that yet. smile120.gif The thought came to me while I was at Target. If I can find something, maybe not a basket, but something along those lines. I will let you know.

Denise-Thanks about the soap and cards would be a good thing to add.

By the time I get through, I may need to get bags, lol. I will need to look for some type of basket.

I am thinking about checking with my WC and see if she can pick up 4 baskets for me. The reason I thought about baskets, is that all of us are couples, so to speak, but only 2 of the 4 couples will be sharing a room. Dh and myself, my nephew and his ex-wife. The other 2 couples are my son and daughter (21 and 19) and thier girlfriend/boyfriend. Since my daughter and her boyfriend are 19 and 18, obviosly, I don't want them sharing a room, so son's gf and my daughter will be sharing a room and my son and daughter's bf will be sharing a room. Hence, baskets instead of bags. If any of that makes any sense. LOL

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
