You get married in PV a week before me! I have a question for you. Are you getting married outdoors? If so are you renting a tent? My WC keeps insisting that we do so and I really don't want to. She says its rainy season and is really pusing us in renting a $3000 tent! Insane! FI and I feel like waiting to monitor the weather, but I wanted to see what any other June/July brides are doing.

I have been waiting to see if anyone is getting married there. I have been in contact with them. Their wedding rates seem to be a big high. Did you do their package or did you create your own?

Hi amyh,

Yes July is by far the most rainiest time of the year in vallarta however that price for the tent is really high!! that is insane! I'm not having an outside wedding for the same reason that it might rain and become too humid for us and the guests. I'm having my reception at one of the indoor venues that has a terrace for guests to go outside. Maybe you can ask your WC if they offer an indoor venue.

Hi MaryS,

SOme of the prices for flowers were high but I was able to choose and pick what I wanted and in the end she dropped some of the higher prices. For instance, I couldn't afford open bar because it was wayyyyy to much over my budget and in the end she dropped the price to something more resonable the fit well into my limit.

Hope I helped!!

Thank you! I want to keep the wedding out doors- on the beach. That was the purpose of going to PV. I need to do a little more research on the tent. I know we need a large tent to cover the amount of guests we are having, but I still feel that $3000 is way too much!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
