I would totally stay in scottsdale. There are TONS of great places to eat, shop and play.

I'm new to AZ, but I just went out on a desert jeep tour and it was the most awesome thing I've done here so far. Learned all about the desert, which sounds lame, but it was so great. I would toally recommend it.
No not at all that sounds amazing and something were both totally into...who was the tour by?

Just remember, it's 20 minutes from EVERYTHING. The Boulders is gorgeous, but there's not a great selection of restaurants up there. If you want variety within your reach, I'd stick to closer to Scottsdale. The Fairmont Princess is also a great choice. You should be able to get some decent rates, because most corporate groups ( these are who I work with ) don't really start coming back to the Valley until October.

If there are any tours you're thinking of, let me know. I may be able to steer you towards the better vendors in the Valley.

tvt-who did you use for the jeeps? I wonder if it was my favorite vendor?
