Mommies to be check in

Christine- What a cute baby bump! I can't wait until I get to that stage. I feel like I just look fat now.

Angela- So sorry that you had a scare, I spotted brown a few weeks ago and know how scary that can be. But surprisingly it is really common in early pregnancy.

As for me, I am MISERABLE. My morning sickness has been horrible. I have all day nausea. It is almost to the point where I can barely function. My doctor gave me 2 different meds but they barely do anything.

Baby is doing good though, we had an ultrasound last week and s/he has a strong heartbeat of 152BPM. I also bought a doppler on ebay and found the heartbeat pretty easily.

I'll post a belly pic when it looks like something other than fat.

Try anything with ginger like ginger snaps or herbal ginger tea. If you eat a couple of ginger snaps before bed and then as soon as you wake up you should also get some relief. Real lemonade also helps-the smell of lemons is helpful and dehydration increases bouts of nausea.

oh sweetie, I had morning sickness so badly also, I am really sorry. I took Zofran twice a day for about 4 months. I was also in the hospital for dehydration in December, all I can say is stay as hydrated as you possibly can. Try to eat smaller meals and sleep when you need to.

I also had spotting early on, it was so traumatic and emotional, I feel your first trimester pain, it does get better. I swear (everyone told me that but I didn't believe them), I promise you the 2nd trimester is much better, you get to feel the baby move, you get to find out what it is and you finally start to show so people don't think you have some crazy flu for four months.

Thanks you! I haven't tried ginger snaps. I will try them. I hadn't really thought about being dehydrated but that could very well be part of it. It's so hard for me to drink a lot of liquids cause it makes me sick. I've been drinking vitamin water because regular water tastes horrible to me. Weird.

Yeah, my doc first prescribed me Phenergan, but all it did was make me a little less nauseous and very sleepy. So she switched me to Zofran but it doesn't really help with the nausea it just keeps me from throwing up.

It really does make me feel better hearing that it does get better from someone who has gone through it recently. Thank You so much!

I love the bump pics! Awww!! Enjoy it, it really goes by fast when you look back... I am a post baby bump by five months already. I got absolutely huge and ended up having a nine pound healthy baby two days past my due date..

I have included a pic, it was taken two days before I went into labor!

Advice: Take lots of pics, even if you know your huge, its so fun looking back at them!

Awww- I can't wait for more photos. I love the ultrasound Christine! That's amazing. I haven't had any pregnant friends so I haven't seen a 3D one.

Angela- I didn't know you were pregnant! Congrats! So exciting. Sorry about the bad day though- sounds frightening!

Sarah- you're pregnant too? My goodness- BDW babies everywhere!

I hope the morning sickness gets better soon for you all. It sucks to feel sick anytime.

    • Hello!! My fiancé and I are planning on a destination wedding and we are wondering if there are any recommendations for a travel agency to use. I’ve emailed some I found online, but find it tough just communicating through email before we decide where to book. After we book, obviously email is convenient! We are in the Niagara Falls On area and would love to sit and meet with someone but don’t know where to start. Any help is greatly appreciated!! Thank you
    • I’m getting married next May at the Azul Sensatori  in Cancun, I believe they have a hotel specific DJ. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on that versus spending money for an outside vendor and if so any recommendations on a good DJ in that area? Thanks for the help.
