Mrs. Martin your are too funny...

I heard ice cream is good for nausea.

So i had to go to the Doc today which wasnt planned. I was having back contractions and pain all day. I drank my water had my feet up and took two tylnol. So they made me come in since nothing helped. They said I have a UTI and check my cervix and did the swab test to see if I was going into labor in the next two weeks. cervix is closed and I will here about the swab in the next two hours.

Hi girls - just chiming in now, but I've been watching this thread since when we were planning our DW popcorn.gif - we're pregnant and due Nov 16!

I saw the baby at 6weeks and the heart beat. I'm going back for the screening test next week (the neural tube one) and meeting our midwife for the first time next Friday!

Your baby bumps are very cute and not at all scary (well, maybe a bit for me wink.gif ) I just have a very thick tummy right now. I've gained 12 lbs already and I'm only 10 weeks smile35.gif I tried to put a cap on the comfort food last week and I'm gaining much more slowly now, I hope!

Andrea :)

Kelly - sorry to hear of your scare. Hopefully the test will come back negative and you'll be in the clear!

Andrea - CONGRATULATIONS! and welcome to the mommy thread! I did the same thing; stalked the thread until I was good and ready to tell everyone:)

To all you other ice cream lovers - I am right there with you. I keep saying that I dont know how I'm going to give up my daily (and sometimes 2x daily) ice cream fix! :) LOL

So, I had my 35 (almost 36wk) appt today. Nothing too exciting. So far, I've gained 25lbs which is not too bad all around but I was only up 10 at 20 weeks and my Dr. said that he doesn't think I would gain more than 20 total. Oh well. I guess my slackign off from the gym and pigging out on ice cream finally caught up to me. Baby G is still breach and the Dr. keeps talking about doing a version to get him to turn if he doesn't do it on his own by 37 weeks. I already told hubby he needs to have a serious talk with his son about turning head down! :) LOL

I'm so happy to see that most of you share the same ice cream obsession that I have!!!

Andrea- Congrats and welcome!! How are you feeling?

Kelly- Sorry to hear you're going through that. I hope the results came on the good side! Keep us posted.

My son was keeping me up last night, kicking the life out of my bladder. I've never felt him as strong as I started feeling him yesterday. I'm sure the kicks will only be getting stronger....

I have my glucose-tolerance test Monday morning and I'm a little nervous about it(especially since I've gained so much weight in so little time). My coworkers keep telling me the drink was disgusting and the waiting around was just as bad. Is it as bad as everyone describes it?

Don't worry about it! It really has nothing to do with how much weight you've put on and there's nothing you can do about it anyways:) It really doesn't taste too bad as long as it's COLD! Basically like semi-sweet flat orange soda. I heard it's really nasty warm but out of the fridge, it was no biggie. Good luck on your test!

Thanks, girls! :)

I'm actually feeling pretty good all 'round. I had only a couple of weeks of constant morning sickness and now it's once in a while. I had a bad day on Monday and stayed home, but this week otherwise I was pretty good.

Sore along my lower abdomen, like I"ve pulled the muscle, because it's stretching. And generally feel pretty large because of the weight I've gained.

I can't wait to be able to tell everyone, especially at work, because I feel really paranoid all the time, like everyone's staring at my belly! And it's hard trying to cover it up all the time.

I'm really excited about our ultrasound on Thursday. I really hope everything is ok!

Oh and I had one spotting episode just once on Wednesday that did worry me, so my doctor is testing me for a UTI.

thanks girls...I just got done doing my 3 hr glucose. It was terrible! Do not drink the lemon lime. For the pre screen that I failed I had orange and it was so bad. This is terrible. I just got done have a sandwich trying to balance back out. I think I need a nap. Im crashing hard and we have a 1st communion and and 1st b day party to go to this afternoon.

The doctor just gave me antiabotics and treating it as a UTI. The screening for labor in the next two weeks came back negative. So thats good.

Glad to hear you girls are doing well Im going to try and get a little cat nap in.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
