Hi everyone I think the last time I posted I was about 4 weeks and today I am 11 weeks and 3 days. We had our first ultra sound last night and it was amazing!!! At first the baby was very still but then it went crazy, kicking and moving it's body. I couldn't feel it but seeing it was unbelievable the doctor warned me that our baby will most likely be very active and I should feel in the nexy month or two. We are sticking to the original due date which is August 1st. We are so excited. Congratulations everyone.

Does anyone have any weird cravings? I don't know when it starts I read as early as 2-3 weeks but I really want to eat mayonnaise. Isn't that nasty, the thought of it on a blt makes me soooo hungry. I don't eat it often because it's not that healthy but once and a while I give in it's really yummy!

Congrats Bisha on your baby boy!!!!

I had my appt today and everything was great. I told her that the Ultrasound Tech already told me it was a girl and that I wasn't convinced. She said there is no way she could have at 12 weeks. Exactly what I expected. So I will find out for sure in 5 more weeks.

GeminiLibra how are you feeling? Hope everything is going well. Glad to hear your ultrasound went well. It is amazing when you see the tiny little baby. Did they give you any pictures? And the only thing that I am craving is salty stuff. I know it's not good so I'm trying to stay away as much as I can.

Has anyone heard from Sarah? I think she was about 2 weeks ahead of me, so if it hasn't happened already, it has to be any day now.

I had an appt. this morning.... I am not dialated yet, but my cervix is softening. She also mentioned that the baby's head is really low... I don't know if that means she "dropped"?

She also said my cervix is really high.... for some reason I thought that dropped too nearing the due date. Oh well... .I guess I can expect another 2-3 weeks before she decides to make her debut!

As of yesterday Sarah had not had Lucon yet. She has a doc appt. today. I think they are going to induce next week sometime if she hasn't had the baby.

That's great that your cervix is softening...your body is working...how are you feeling?

I have a question....

Are any of you ladies receiving paid maternity leave? I am taking off 12 weeks, but they are all unpaid. I have mentioned that we do not receive any paid time off for maternity to a few friends, and they thought that was crazy. But, our office manager said that a lot of places don't offer paid time off. I can use my vacation time, and sick if I choose.

I did read online that about 39% only receive it paid.

I get 6 weeks paid and then I can take an additional 6 weeks not paid. I know a lot of people who have to take it all not paid though. I think I'm one of the lucky few.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
