Kelly- I'm glad to hear your placenta has shifted; that's great news! Are you still having any of those pains you were getting before?

Jenn- Good luck on Friday!

As for me, I haven't had another bad episode again with the irregular heat beat (just short episodes). Just to be on the safe side my doc will be doing an EKG on me this week. But other than that my little boy is good and just moving around inside of me! He has started waking me up between 2:00-4:00am with his kicking and moving. I just sit there in bed feeling my stomach because I get so excited about feeling him move!

I hope everyone else is doing well!!

I love feeling my baby move too! I just love it. I can sit there and stare at it for hours (well, if it'd kick for hours). It's just so amazing to me!! Plus, since it's still pretty little and the kicks are really low, it doesn't hurt yet! :)

hey ladies.. no i'm not preggo! i just have a question. :)

i'm going out to lunch tomorrow with a good friend of mine who i don't get to see very often because she lives far away. anyway, she's preggo and this is the first time i'm seeing her since she found out. i'd like to get her a small little gift.. i don't really know what but just a congratulations type thing. did any of your friends/family buy you something small and cute and maybe sentimental when you told everyone you were expecting? or is something practical a better idea? she's not finding out the sex so it should be gender neutral, if that matters and also, she hasn't had her shower yet so i'll buy her a bigger gift later. i'm just looking for something small.

Oooo Katrina you tricked me wink.gif! I saw your name and thought you were pg! When I first found out I was pg we decided not to buy anything baby until after the first trimester. A few days later in the mail I received a congratulations package from my cousin's family with the most adorable little onesie! I had no idea something like this would impact us the way it did. Suddenly the pregnancy was way more real and we could picture a little baby fitting into it! It made me cry!

Trisha- I know exactly how you feel about the kicking- I'm enjoying them right now because I know later they will begin to hurt and feel uncomfortable!

Katrina- That's really nice of you for wanting to get her a gift! Do you know how far along your friend is? The reason I ask is if she's still pretty early, she may not have as many pregnancy books as someone who was probably later in her pregnancy. I received tons of books in the beginning, which I didn't think I would read and I actually did end up reading them all. I received this one in particular that showed 3D pics of the baby week to week and I loved it. I also received baby basics like body suits, socks, hats, etc. The only out-of-ordinary thing I received was a baby piggy bank from my parents with some $$ already inside. I thought that was cute and unique.

katrina- My mom brought me over a cute bag with pickles, a baby book and a few other cute little things. The pickles cracked me up. That is very nice of you to think of her and I am sure anything you get her will be great!

Ok girls, I am having breakout city going on! It is horrible. My face, my shoulders, my chest WTF?! I look hideous. I am going to make an appt with my dermatologist to see what he can do that will still be safe for the baby.

Wow, I have a lot of catching up to do! :) LOL

Kelly - Great news about the placenta! I know I was happy to find out mine shifted too :)

Jenn - how exciting about Friday! Hope your baby spreads the legs nice and wide for you! Good luck! Can't wait to hear who you're having!

GeminiLibra - can't agree with you more about how fast it's going! At first, it seems that every week couldn't come any sooner and now, it just feels like they're flying by toooo fast!

Mrs. Martin - glad to hear you're feeling better!

katrina - it's so nice to hear that you want to get your friend something. I think everything the other ladies suggested is great! I guess it's not too customary in my culture so the only "gift" I got was maternity clothes from my SIL so maybe something like a gift card to motherhood maternity!?

Kat - I'm right there with you! I actually broke out right after getting off the pill last spring. It got 10x worse when I got pregnant, came down a little during the second trimester and now, it's back to how it was during the first! I feel like I'm 15 again and I've been going through tons and tons of concealer! I just hope that it gets better after giving birth. I haven't found anything that helps completely so, maybe you'll have better luck! Let us know how it goes at the derm for you :)

As far as movement goes; I can't say it's uncomfortable for me but the days when he's really really active, I get really really tired! Otherwise, I love feeling him too and find myself watching my stomach move around from time to time. Just staring at it instead of working! :) LOL

I actually have some baby prep progress to report! We got the stroller yesterday!!!! Sooooo excited that we wound up playing with it for like 2 hours! Taking it apart and trying on all the different attachemnts! It's even cooler than I remember it being when we first saw it at the store :) The nursery is actually moving along as well! My dad came over yesterday and picked up the last of the furniture we wanted to get out of there so the only thing that's left is for me to find a new home for all the junk that's in there right now and for hubby to paint. He promised to have that done by the end of the week!!!!! Woo Hoo!!! Our crib actually came in and is currently at the store (we did the walmart site to store thing) waiting for us to pick it up and the dresser should be there shortly so it's even possible that we will have the furniture set up before the week's end!

Kat- Sorry you are breaking out so much! I know it's common during pregnancy for skin to react funny. Good luck with the derm and I hope he/she is able to help you. I haven't broken out, but my face has become very red in certain spots and it gets irritated easily. If I put cream on my face, it looks as if I have a sunburn because it gets so red.

Bisha- I'm glad you started working on the nursery and you got your stroller! Can you believe you are going to have a baby in less than 2 months?! Time does really fly by....

Ladies- we need to share our progress with belly pics!! I'm not one to talk since I haven't posted any, but I will take an updated pic tonight and post what I have ASAP!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
