Mommies to be check in

Mrs. Martin, from what I remember the mucus plug looks like a thick snotty glob. When you lose it you will know. It looks totally different from discharge. It's a little gross. I didn't lose mine with my son but with my daughter I lost mine all at once and had her a couple of weeks later, but some do lose it gradually.

However, I checked online yesterday and they seem to have another MacLaren light weight for less $$. I'm going to check to see if they have it at the store so I can try it out in person. I registered for one from Chicco and it seemed to be just fine for my height.

Kelly- This may sound like a stupid question considering I'm a few weeks away from having a baby and I should know this by now, but what does the plug look like? Is it obvious when it falls out? I also heard some women lose it gradually, not all at once. Is that true? I know what it is, I'm just not sure I would be able to identify it considering you tend to discharge a lot when pregnant.

it looks like the girls answered the questions while I was at work today...

They say it can be 2 days 2 weeks whenever she decides. The girls at work today think I have dropped, but honestly I dont know anymore. I know that it feels like a bowling ball between my legs. LOL. My boss said to me before I left he didnt think he would see me monday. But to be honest my doc is not on call this weekend so Im going to try and take it easy until sunday.

Danielle, Is Kerrington Danielle taking after her name sake or her father? LOL

It folds down super small and has a strap to carry on your back so you can hold baby too. I can lug that baby up stairs with a baby in my arms. Just a thought if someone was looking for a lightweight. It even comes with a storage place underneath. The new line is a bit different but you can find the older ones other places. Anyways just thought I'd let you know if you were interested.
I don't have the MacLaren yet, but I just tested it out today and I'm so getting it. I'm tall 5'8" and those damn low handles on the umbrella strollers are torture. If I was 5" shorter it would be ok, but I practically have to bend down to even reach the damn handles. SUCKS!!!!

Re: the plug... losing your mucus plug doesn't always mean baby is coming soon. You can lose your plug and not give birth until a month later. I didn't lose mine until the day I went into labor. It kinda looks like a slimey glob of mess. Since my water broke at the time I lost my plug, I didn't get a great look at it.

My labor story is pretty old, but if anyone is interested in reading it, you can find it on my blog. It gives the dirty details of losing the plug, etc.

What great news!!

Regarding the plug, that was interesting read. I had no idea. I mean I heard about it before, but didn't know what it looked like, etc.

Things are going well for me. Had my 29 week appt and all checked out well. I have another ultrasound in three weeks to see if the placenta previa went away. I sure hope so. In addition I have to go for fetal montoring starting in three weeks...three times a week.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
