Thanks ladies!

I was looking at baby names while FI was watching hockey and I come across Mischa in the girls names section, I thought that was cute and was saying to Nick I liked that..And FI's a flames fan and I heard them talking about Mikka Kipprusoff (Calgary Flames goalie) and was like that is a really cute girls name! haha kinda hate to actually say that out loud! So she's not named after him, just inspired by his name I guess? haha

I like the name Mikka it's different but not too different and very pretty. I also feel funny saying the name Liana (Lee-Ana) which is our top name so far. That's why I am hesitant to name her that because if I feel funny saying it then it must not be the name for her. But on the other hand we are naming someone we have never met so I guess it's normal to feel that way. We are heavily leaning toward Liana Noelle. We'll see.

Oh, is anyone else taking hypnobirthing classes or looking into them? We had our first class last night and I loved it, minus the birthing videos, why do they show thosehuh.gif

Hi everyone!

Trisha- Congrats!! Did you have a feeling you were having a girl the whole time?!

Summer- Mikka is a beautiful name! I have an aunt named Mikaela and we call her Mikka all the time. I've always loved the way it sounded.

GeminiLibra- No, I have never even heard of hypnobirthing classes until I read your post. I'm glad you loved it; I'm going to read in to that. I feel like I'm so behind with the classes because I haven't even signed up for the basic L&D, breastfeeding, and childcare classes that my hospital offers. We're going to be moving early June (still keeping my fingers crossed because we haven't closed escrow yet) so I don't want to sign up for them until I know what location is going to work best for me because we will be living an hour away from our old location.

I had an appt Tuesday and guess what....I gained 2 pounds in a month!! I was so worried I was going to have another 8 pound month again! I got my results from the glucose test and everything was fine. They did say my iron was low, so to just take an additional supplement. But, my baby boy is doing well and kicked the nurse again when they were checking his hearbeat because she was pushing in to my belly. I swear, I'm amazed at how active and stubborn he is. He'll kick me until I move positions if my belly is too close to the mattress when I'm sleeping.

How is everyone else doing?

Hey girls! I have my gender appt on June 8th. I can't wait and I hope our little pumpkin reveals the goods. I am feeling so much better and have a ton of energy. My face is still SLOWLY clearing up but it is a step in the right direction. I have been feeling the baby move for a week or two and DH has even felt a kick or two. It seems really early for the baby to be felt on the outside but I am pretty big for 18weeks. At least I think I am.

I love all the names you girls have picked out. I am at a total loss for names. There are a few I like a bit but nothing that I love. I guess after I find out the gender I will concentrate on it more.

Hi everyone! Not a mommy-to-be yet, but I'm very excited as my fiancé and I have decided to start trying during our 2 week weddingmoon in Mexico! We're leaving June 21st. I'm hoping it'll work out for us, I'm a physician who deals with genetic causes of infertility so am a bit anxious.... This will be the first time either of us try, I guess I should be more optimistic :-)

I was wondering: have any of you kept up your exercising after becoming pregnant? I love to run and do yoga, I am hoping to keep it up if possible. I guess everyone is different and every pregnancy different too, but was just wondering about your experience with this. Thanks!!!

They say you can do whatever you did preprenancy as long as you don't overdo it and you aren't high risk.

Chanti, I honestly didn't feel good most of the 1st trimester so working out was impossible. I've heard you have to be careful not to do too much.

Kat, my energy is also coming back finally! And the nausea has let up. I hope this will continue!

Chanti - I am just TTC right now - not preggers yet - but I started doing Boot Camp 2x a week back in February and am still doing it. This way, I now have a regular routine that I can keep up with once I do become pregnant. You basically just can't start a rigorous exercise program AFTER becoming pregnant. You should be good to go with all that you are already doing!

As for names : we have names for 2 boys and 2 girls already picked out.

Boys:

Thomas Harry B. Jr. (DH's name, although I hate the middle name of Harry .... oh well, I won't win that argument)

Mac William B. (Mom's maiden name is McClosky and everyone called her Dad Mr. Mac ... and my Dad's name is William)

Girls:

Michaela Diane B. (Mom's name is Michael, so just adding an "a" ... pronounced like Mikayla ... and MIL's name is Diane)

Reese Donnelly B. (just lvoe the name Reese and DH's aunt and uncle's last name is Donnelly)

I wanted to name a girl Jade Michael, but DH says it saounds like a stripper name. He sucks, cos I still love that name.

Chanti- I loved to work out prior to me being pregnant. I seriously went to the gym all the time and I loooooved to run. Now, when I got pregnant it was a whole other story. My morning sickness during the 1st trimester was mostly in the afternoon and evening time, so once I left work I would go home and sleep because I didn't feel well and most people have zero energy around that trimester. I was also bleeding at first so my doc didn't give me the ok to work out until about my 12th week. After that, it was really hard to get in to a routine. All though I didn't go to a gym, just walking the dog seemed to take my breath away. I wish I could be more active because I really miss working out, it's just not recommended to do if you didn't work out from the very beginning. My heart rate tends to rise and I get shortness of breath right away if I walk even at a regular pace. So, I only walk maybe 2 or 3 times a week, but it's something!

Gavin is so cute....

Love the names...We are still going with our Kerrington Danielle.

I have been hanging in there. This GD is kicking my butt. They gave me meds to take before bed and this weekend my numbers were all over the place I couldnt get balanced at all. So I has a couple of melt downs. My hubby will be so glad when this is over.

I have my regular appointment wednesday and then on monday I go for another u/s to see how big she getting. They dont want her to get too big and I have to have non stress test done every week now also.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
