Shea, In the state of Mo they dont really give you a choice on Vaccines. THey have to have them to go to school. I really did want my daughter to get the chicken pox vaccine. Cuz face it we all have had it and are fine. But they made me give it to her.

I had my check up wednesday. All is good and I get to go back on the 5th to find out the sex of the baby. Very excited. Little early present for hubby. his b day is the 6th.

I went to the Dr on Tuesday and since I had irregular periods they did an ultrasound to date my pregnancy. I am 8 weeks, they said the baby looks good and the heartbeat was 176bpm and my due date is Aug 30. They also suggested I see a specialist to do some tests since I am 30yrs old. Does this sound normal to you guys?? Thanks and I hope everyone is doing well!!

Congrats!!!! How are you feeling?

I just wanted to add one thing b/c I would like the right informotion out there. No state can force you to vax your child. And each state has exemptions for public schools. I use to live in St. Louis and knew a whole group of mothers who did not vax and had their children in public schools. If any of you would like a ton of information on vaccines please pm and I'd love to share it with you. But again each state has a simple form you fill out and give to your school. Usually they don't cause any trouble. They just put it in the file.
Heres a link for each state and what exemptions are allowed.

Congrats on your pregnancy Jenn! I felt really tired too in the beginning, so good luck with that!!

I have a question for you all- The last 2-3 weeks I finally started to get morning sickness (i think that's what i have). It's all day especially in the evening/night time. I'm nauseous all day and gag a lot; sometimes I throw up a bit (but never my entire meal). Since I feel worse at night, it's been hard for me to eat late so I go to bed sometimes with my stomach growling. But, if I eat I know I'm just going to be sick. But, I feel like a really bad mom because my stomach is growling and I'm not eating anything. I have just felt so gross lately that most things I try to eat, just make me feel worse. So, I'm just curious, am I hurting my baby by going hungry at night? I try eating crackers, but I'm so over them and they don't help me all the time.

I have my 12 week appt tomorrow, so I'll confirm with the doc then. I've just been stressed out about this all weekend because my nausea doesn't seem to be getting any better.

You know, things have changed for me too. I cant eat meat. Like steak, a hamburger, chicken. Pieces of meat. I even tired to eat a filet a my moms last week. To make her happy. I got home and threw it up. So the doc said dont eat it. Eat other protiens. Is it something like that? Do you think maybe its you vitamines? I take mine at night before bed. Cuz with my daughter they made me sick all day. But I do have a girlfriend that is having twins that gets night sick. I think everyone is different. Let us know what the DR. says.

Oh I get sick all the time, so I feel ya. I have learned that no matter how sick I feel, I HAVE to eat. And actually I've also learned to eat very regularly, before I'm hungry. If I eat once my tummy tells me I'm hungry, I'll puke. it's a vicious cycle actually!

I call myself a hobbit... if you google the wikipedia definition and read how many times a day they eat, you'll understand!

So try to eat every two hours, small healthy meals, and see if that helps. It was really hard for me to do this since I'm used to eating 2-3 times a day and ONLY when I'm hungry, but honestly it has helped so much.

So, here's the funny thing- I already do eat every 2-3 hours with small portions (and what I eat is healthy). I know most people don't do that on a regular basis, but I've been eating this way for over 6 years now so I thought my eating habits for sure would prevent morning sickness! But nooooo! I know that's why I am so hungry at night because lately my last food consumption has been around 5 or 6, so I'm really hungry before I go to bed. I'm going to try at least having some toast tonight before I go to bed and see if that makes me feel less hungry. I just feel like I'm hurting the baby crybaby2.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
