Karma, I am in the same boat! NOTHING is going on here either....

BUT....Noah will be here next Tuesday via C-Section! elefant.gif

Well, I didn't want a C-Section, but I kinda have to have one. My OB says my pelvic cavity is too narrow...I got an sonogram done and based on the results he is about 8 pounds 11 ounces already! And, I still have 2 weeks to go!!!

He is too big for my small pelvic cavity...He says I can keep the scheduled induction and labor, but if he is too big, he wont come out. He says 2 weeks ago he had a lady completely dilated and labored for hours but then had to have a C-Section because the baby never came out. I really, really, wanted to deliver vaginally to experience the whole child birth, but if I can't, I can't.

He says the recovery from a scheduled C-Section is not as bad as laboring for hours, getting exhausted then having to have a C-Section. I already have a C-Section scar from a tumor and ovary (1/2 of it) removal so that's okay...

I am not worried about the actual surgery, it's the recovery that I am not too thrilled about! sad.gif

Lisa, I am glad your pain is gone today...I checked myself out this morning and boy am I swollen..TMI. smile117.gif

OMG Next Tues Martha!?!? Are you completely freakin out yet?? I know the time is getting close to where these babies are going to be here, but STILL!! To have a definite date is a little freaky!!

I just got back from the doc and nothing is going on with me either sad.gif He said he hasn't dropped and my cervix is still closed. He is still saying he will be about 8 1/2lbs. I told him I've been walking alot to help him along and he said he will come when he's ready and walking isn't going to help. I told him i've been have vajayjay pain and back pain and he says it's because i'm not resting as much as i should be and not to walk so much. WTF? Aren't you suppose to be walking?? Silly doctor!

I gained 2 more lbs....up 32 lbs! I'm a big girl! Everything else was great.

I didn't really think it meant much to be dialated either, but that news would have been cool to hear. I know you can be dialated for weeks w/o anything happening....so i'll be patient.

i just thought staying active would help w/ labor. that's really the ONLY reason i've still been walking because lord knows i'd rather be on the couch...lol!

Thanks, girls. I figure with the C-Section I don't have to worry about the darn GBS test!

I was okay until I started reading up on the risks of S-Sections...I just decided to stay away from Google and just let it happen! No sense in worrying myself more!

Oh, I gained 5 pounds this week! That puts me at 31 pounds total. Good Lord! I am gonna have to bust my rear to get in shape...especially since I had some to lose before I got preg!

Lisa...take it easy then! No more walking! Relax on the couch. That is crazy, because I always heard you were supposed to walk also....oh well, take his advice and just relax!

Martha sorry about the c-section, you will be fine and honestly its not worth going through labor, my sister (one year ago yesterday) had her water break at home and went through 17 hours of labor before they finally decided to do a c-section when she couldn't dialate past a 6. Anyway the reason she couldn't dialate was that my nephew was 10lbs 6oz but his head was the biggest thing ever, seriously he was huge in the 99th percentile or something with his head size and he was stuck in her pelvis. His poor little head was pretty mushed because he was trying to come out but didn't fit. You and Noah are better off with him coming out of the sunroof if he is a big boy.

can't wait to meet Noah!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
