This should probably be in another thread, but I didn't want to start a new one. I just found out that a guy that I grew up with was hit and killed by a car last night. I knew his family really well and it's just so sad.

I know this is shallow of me, but I'm fat and now thinking what the heck am I going to wear to the funeral. Argh! I have no nice clothes at all. Only jeans and capris and don't want to go out and buy a maternity dress for the funeral, only to wear it once. What the heck should I do?

How horrible, Lisa! I hope his family is somwhow able to find peace eventually...that sucks.

As for what to wear, you could always dress up the capris with heels and jewelry. Are you still able to wear heels? I did for the wedding, but my feet were killing me 10 minutes in to it.

And....you are not fat, you are pregnant!

I have been a little busy lately as my daughter arrived 15 days early. I am going to post a thread about it, but I have been busy.

I just wanted to comment about co-sleeping. We have a bassinet beside our bed that we hoped to use. Ella hates it, everytime we put her in, even if she is sound asleep, she cries. So, we went and got the Close and Secure Sleeper Toys"R"Us - Close and Secure Sleeper and we love it and so does she. She is right there in our beds and its perfect for feeding in the middle of the night. Also, it goes in the crib, so when we are ready to transition her, we will just put it directly into the crib for a few nights and then just take it away altogether. Its great for traveling as well, not that we have had overnight trips yet, but we will.

Also, I wanted to say that if our next child is a boy, we will NOT have him circumcised. I see both sides and do not think either is right or wrong, but I left it up to my husband, as he has a penis and I do not, and he is very against it and does not want to do it. So, we will not do it. I just wanted people to know our choice so no one feels alone in their decisions. But I think its a personal choice and neither of them is wrong.

Congratulations Julie!!! Hope all is well with you and the baby. Can't wait to read all about it and see pix!

We also have that Close and Secure Sleeper, but haven't really used it. Tried to use it with my niece when she was about 11 months (obviously too big for it, but I was afraid Kevin would roll over on her, so thought that would help). We have the Arms Reach Co-Sleeper (LOVE IT!), but I might have to try that other one again.

Lisa! That is the cutest baby bump ever! I think I looked like that at 12 weeks, not 24! ha!

I am HUGE right now! We moved this weekend and have no idea where my camera cord is, but if I can find it, I will post a 29 week picture. I am such a slacker when it comes to belly bump pictures!

Lisa, you look so cute! Did you find something to wear to the funeral? (By the way, I'm so sorry for your loss.)

Mo, I'm glad you're feeling better and are able to eat some boardwalk food!

Martha, I can't wait to see your bump!

So, my second prenatal visit was this morning. It was nice and easy. Mike wanted to come, but it was pretty boring so I think he's done with going. I've gained 1.5 lbs since my last visit 5 weeks ago. The doctor said that was good, but that I need to start putting on about 0.5-1.0 lbs per week from now on (which scares the hell out of me to be honest!). We heard the baby's heartbeat and that was pretty cool. Other than that, no issues...yaycheer2.gif

Thanks Martha and Lizz! I can't wait to see your 29 week bump Martha.

Lizz - I'm glad your appt. went well. I think the 2nd one was the one that James went too - and he was bored out of his mind....lol...he hasn't been back. Of course he would go if I ask him. Maybe towards the end when we start talking about the delivery and things like that.

I did find something to wear. I went to Target and got a black Mossimo dress - not a maternity one though. And I only paid $17.99 for it!!

OMG!! I just realized I only have 3 squares to go on my siggy!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
