I had a couple a few nights ago, but nothing painful. I'm 1cm dilated (as of Tuesday), but feeling great. In fact, I just got home from the gym. I know it could be any time now, so I should probably being resting up- but then I have too much time to think and I get really freaked out. So I'm just trying to keep myself as busy as possible.

I picked up my dress yesterday and it's fantastic. I can't believe she transformed the size 10 dress to fit me and belly. It's amazing what a corset back can do. The alterations were about $500 but totally worth it, cause I really wanted to wear my dress. The dress is form fitting and my baby belly actually looks really cute in it. I was all alone so didn't get pictures. :-(

Oh man! That's a lot of money to get it altered! eek! That's a lot of Mexico spending money, but it's worth it because you love it! Can't wait to see pictures!!!

True. I am going to ask next week just to make sure.

I feel like a beached whale, but I have to keep reminding myself that I am PREGNANT. I am so grateful to be pregnant that you would think the ugly self conceptions of myself would just go away!

I'm here...trying to catch up on this thread without reading all 40 pages of posts...lol...

I'm only 8 weeks and my clothes don't fit! boohoo....way too much bloat going on.

Well, last night we told my bonus son that we're pregnant...we showed him the u/s picture and played the heartbeat for him..we asked him what he thought it was and he said "fire"huh.gif huh? lol....anyway, he just said, "oh" and we asked him if was excited and he answered, "a little. come on dad let's go outside and play catch" ....yeah, I think he's already realizing that he's going to have to share attention...lol...I'm sure he'll be a great big brother when the time comes.

forgot to mention...I'm also looking forward to seeing you all in your wedding dresses. :) You're going to be glowing, beautiful brides!!

He's 9 will be 10 in October...I think he said Fire because he heard us talking earlier about a building in San Diego that burnt down yesterday and he was just assuming that what we were showing him had to do with our conversation that he overheard, but it was pretty funny.

Yeah, the actual alterations cost almost $400, and a yard of extra material was $100. So total about $500. The dress was $1600 and non refundable so it would have been $1600 down the drain plus the cost of a new dress. sad.gif

I bought a second dress from Neiman's for our bonfire and the alterations on it was $230 on a $400 dress! All she had to do was hemming and slight modification for extra belly room. Alterations are EXPENSIVE!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
