Hey Jenny! Since you're my wedding dress twin I thought I would give you a shout out. Ok, so this is freaky, but when I went in yesterday to pick up my dress I decided to try on veils and not having read this post until today I decided on the mantilla veil too! I was trying to find pics on here so I typed in mantilla and here you are choosing a mantilla too. I had to order a smaller size, so I had to exchange it so now I'm waiting again for my dress to come back in. Apparently, the larger size I ordered would cost too much in alterations to try to get the part over the stomach to lay flat. And since the smaller size fit me better there the seamstress said it would be better to get the smaller size and let out some of the sides...or loose 5 lbs...LOL. She also smoothed by back out so that I didn't have back cleavage ! Now that's hilarious! I will have to teach my daughter to smooth out my back in the dress since she's the only one in my party.

So, here's the question...what color dress and veil did you order? Because when I looked at the ivory veil it didn't match my dress.smile124.gif

I got my dress and veil in ivory. You went with the ivory as well?

Here's a pic of me with the veil:

What size did you get your dress? I didn't know about the petite until way after I ordered my dress but now I'm wondering if I'll have the same problem. I'm 5'4".

That veil is pretty on you too! I choose ivory too and ordered it in a 2P. 4P didn't lay right over my gut and the seamstress thought it would work better to order smaller and let out the sides to reduce my backfat from causing back cleavage. Of course I kept saying I will loose 5 lbs and they also said that would help out a lot....lol. I will have to look at the veils again and see the diff. colors. I went on a Saturday and it was as crowded as a Chucky Cheese's on a Saturday. I had to get out of there! If you don't mind me asking, how much was the veil? I didn't even think to look. I forgot to add, I will post a pic so you can see, but I can where a flower with it too...which I'm excited about!

The veil was $200. I know my dress has come in but I haven't had the chance to get there before they close.

Did you get the pink shoes?
Yup, I'm getting the Christian Louboutin "Very Noeud".. I just bought them this week so I'm anxiously waiting on them to arrive.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
