Lades - we are soo close to booking Las Caletas and are now looking at hotels in the area - This board has been amazing so far - just wondering how far the bus/charter ride is from Dreams to the Marina? I'm concerned between that and the boat it may be a long haul!

We're also getting married at Las Caletas (on May 24, 200cool.gif, and I think we've settled on staying at the Royal Decameron in Nuevo Vallarta. It's an all-inclusive with a very reasonable rate. If price is the only thing keeping you from considering an all-inclusive (we were in the same boat), you might want to look into this place. Granted, it's nowhere near 5-stars, but it's gotten decent reviews saying it's a good value. And I think an all-inclusive will be very convenient for a large group (we're expecting about 60 people).

Let us know what place you decide on! Oh, and if anyone has ever stayed at the Royal Decameron, I would love to hear about your experience.

Hi raisinblur - I've never stayed at the Royal Decameron, but I have clients who have and they are going back again next year (I'm a TA)...they really like it...it is a bigger hotel, and is very active, lots of things to do during the day. It is nice, definitely not a 5 star, but comfortable, clean, the staff are friendly and the food is good (from what I've heard!). It's a great value for sure!

I think all-inclusive is the way to go, especially with the large group you are having, that way no one has to worry about getting meals/etc., and if you want to eat out at a restaurant, you can! It's a great, worry-free way to travel!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
