Just to clarify on this pricing, as the pricing for some other salons are most likely less, but this pricing is for coming to Las Caletas. You don't go to the salon. The salon comes to you at LC.

1. Sebastian Hair Salon - they do a great job and they have a fairly large team of people - the only problem with them is they get booked a few months (normally) in advance. I found a little blurb on them here: Sebastian Hair Salon

Hope that's helpful!! :)
I got mine hair and makeup and my girls hair done at Sebastian Hair Salon. I had a trial of hair and makeup and they were great. I was really pleased with the result. I would suggest bringing pictures of hairstyles you like and the colors of the make up you want. I kept it pretty simple with the hair and she did it in 15 minutes. i'll post some photos too. the makeup, i was really impressed by. It's a bit more than i normally wear but it looked great in pics. the price for both the trial hair and make up and actually coming to our hotel and doing hair and make up for me the day of was $289 USD.

Your hair and makeup look great Lorilou. I'd love to see more pics as I'm looking for a salon to come to my hotel to do my hair and makeup. Post more pics when you can! We'd all love to see them! By the way, did you communicate with them via email prior to your arrival? If you have their email address I'd love to receive it. thewave.gif

A friend of mine is going to do my makeup as she does makeup here in L.A. For hair, I'm going to have my hairdresser here work with me on a style and videotape him doing it with very specific instructions for anyone in PV to follow.

Does anyone have pics of hair/makeup from this person besides the website pics. Thanks!
I don't have any but they are so accomidating. Have you emailed them to see if they'll send you additional photos? You should try and see what they say.

I Do! I Do! I Do!!!

I have crazy curly hair, crazy curly red hair that becomes a red afro in the Puerto Vallarta Humidity. Weeee! what fun! I have visited PV twice noe and both times cannot believe the difference in the diameter of my do!

I suppose my folowing message all depends on whether you intend to straighten your hair for your wedding hairdo or not. I intend to work with the curl. I decided that fighting the curl is a mission too risky for my comfort level.

I have contacted Franc Gole with my quandry, as well as Elle Salon. I just heard back from Frank and i am waiting to hear from Elle Salon. It sounds to me like Franc has a clue what to do with curly hair. He understands need the need for antifriz products in order to work with the natural curl. I am waiting still to hear back from Elle Salon.

I am almost certain I will use one of these two salons. Also, it looks like I will be tieing the knot about 5 months before you do in PV. I will be happy to post a pic and give you my feedback about the experience so you can make a more educated decision. Having people work with your crazy curly hair can be a frightening experience if they don't know that curly hair has a mind of its own that cannot be changes, only cooperated with. lol!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
