Hair and Make up -Puerto Vallarta

Recommended Posts

I wish I could help. We are having a stylist fly in. Our BM's (all 9) are paying $60 each and Hans and I are paying the rest for her and the assistant. She will be there all day! We only need to pay for their trip and she's including a hair trial before we leave. I'm so excited!

Pris quoted me $80 for hair and make-up, but I was really scared of not liking my the stylist. So I asked my girls if they wanted a stylist, if so, would they mind paying $60 to fly in this girl.

Anyhow, I may still need referrals for all my aunts who want to get their hair done in PV.

Amy that is so cool!!! I would love to fly in some of the hairdressers and make up artists of my sis salon.. she could do my hair but I don't want to stress her.. and stress myself too.. I can be really picky with the hair and makeup. blush2.gif

I'm using the same salon as Ann, LoCocco, for my hair and makeup. Nicole made the appointment for me and they'll come to LC the day of the wedding, too. There are three locations in PV, not sure which one I'm going to though.

We're leaving Thursday to do our site visit on Friday at LC and Saturday afternoon is my trial run for hair and make-up. I've already been to MAC to have my make-up done, bought all the products, so they can re-create the look. I'm bringing pics of my hair style, too.

CAN'T WAIT TO GET TO PV!!!!

Isn't it? She's a good friend of one of my BM and does amazing work. She offered this package more than a year ago and only decided to go ahead and fly her in until recently. My SIL and mother kept telling me its something I "needed" to do, lol. Funny, you think they'd tell me to save my money.

Would it really stress out your Sis if you fly in one of her stylists? She can't do both? What really sold me about our girl is that she was throwing in unlimited trials and she would be there all day to touch me up. I felt that with the weather and how fast my skin absorbs make-up, I couldn't pass up the opportunity.

As for LoCocco, I found a reference in this article.

Hi Ladies,

I am going with the place that prisar works with. Pris says that they do a really good job so I trust them.

A good friend of mine is a hair stylist and he has been playing with hairstyles and make up and I've been taking pics of how I want my hair and make up done just to let them know what I want.

I'll share my pics when I come back for sure.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
