Why is everyone choosing Cabo? Still deciding on location

Hello ladies! I would like to ask the Cabo brides -- why did you pick Cabo San Lucas over Hawaii, Dominican Republic, Jamaica?

There are so many CAbo brides on this website and I am just dying to know -- why Cabo?

I am still deciding on a location and any help would be most appreciated!

I believe this site started out as a Cabo only forum. Eventually brides who were wanting to get married other places came and it expanded. Eventually it will probably have sections for any place you could ever want to get married if it keeps growing as fast as it is.

Kudos to Tammy for such a great site!

Our original choice was Hawaii. But, it's very expensive and also far away for the people from NY/NJ. My fiance and I chose Los Cabos by first looking at flights from both the east coast and west coast. (His friends are in CA and mine are in NY.) We ruled out Bahamas, Puerto Rico, DR, and Maya Riviera because the flights from Cali were just awful. There were non-stop flights from either coast to Puerto Vallarta and Los Cabos, but we finally decided on Cabos because the pictures just look so beautiful. I haven't spoken to anyone who has anything bad to say about Cabo, so we're pretty happy with our choice. Hope that helps!

We choose Cabo based on flights and how easy it was for everyone to get too. Also, when we got married you didn't need a passport to go to Mexico so that was another bonus. Most of my family is in Dallas, and there are daily flights out of there, and its a short flight. Cabo just worked out the best and it was a new place for both of us!

My fiance loves Cabo and we both love the idea of getting married near the beach. We're from San Diego (by the beach), but thought it would be fun to have DW with everyone we love...sort of a group honeymoon. We never thought of Jamaica, and Hawaii (though we didn't research it too much) seemed like it would be a lot more expensive for us and our guests. But, after planning a Cabo wedding, it still seems really expensive. ....Mexico isn't cheap anymore! :)

Good luck with your decision!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
