OK I dont know if you read my other post by I am having huge issues with my hair right now.... MY FMIL and I are going back and forth on the phone with the owner... she is saying there is no problem with what is going on, even though my hair is yellow/orange/red/brown when there obviously is. So bottom line.....

If I have dark brown hair box colored (my original hair color is dark brown BTW I use it to cover greys) Is it completely necessary to STRIP my hair to get it medium brownhuh.gif

The owner who we keep going back and forth with say its the ONLY to dye hair and that you cant put color on top of color so our questions to her

1. why was I never told my hair would be stripped

2. If this is the "process" you use why do you not tell people it makes your hair turn orange.

So basically the owner is of course telling me not to go anywhere else because it will ruin my hair more because they dont know what they did to it and go and in and see there color guy and he can explain why they do what they do.... The problem is 1. I dont like how were being treated customer service wise. Not once have they said SORRY YOUR HAIR IS ORANGE! Sorry im mad! So I have to call Monica the owner back in a little and tell her what I want to do.

SO IS IT NORMAL TO DO THIShuh.gif?

Here is my long story of how it got orange

The customer is always right! You should let them know that you feel like you are being treated unfairly. No the owner shouldn't make you feel like it's all of your fault and YES they need to apologize. I seriously would just go there and not talk on the phone.

Ok here is what happened... and the update

ok to make a short story long.....

I have dark brown hair (use over the counter stuff because of my greys) but dark brown is my natural hair color. So decide for the wedding I wanna go medium brown with some blonde, honey highlights.... Think its not going to be a big deal right? WRONG!

So Saturday I go and tell her what I want. She says well right now we will jsut do the medim brown color so your hair doesnt get too damaged in one day, so thought that would be okay.

Well she puts this stuff on by hair to "get rid of the color" so basically my hair is likgh BRIGHT orange and blonde. She said she had to do this because she doesnt want to put color on top of color. So then two hours later she puts the medium brown color I want on. Well the salon didnt have the best lighting and after being there for 3 hours I was in a hurry and had to be somewhere....

Soooo The brown never really hung on to the hair and now its blotches of red, orange and brown..... OMG I called her the next day and said I had to get in right away and the soonest my schedule works with their isnt till thurday. So in the mean time I am walking around like a cheetah/homeless person with their hair on fire!!!

UPDATE

You girls are so awesome, thank you so much for all your support and advice!!!!!

I read every little word that you all said on here and got enough courage and called the owner.... since then I am so pissed. Not only have I spoken to her not my FMIL has been on the phone with her on and off the past hour.... So I just started a new post because I need advice from stylist pronto on what to do because I have to call Monica (the owner) back...

SO heres what happen (In case you guys care lol)

I called her and told her first off that I was not trying to be rude because I thought that andrea (the girl that did my hair) was such a great girl but that I am really unhappy with my hair

I first told her that I have heard from multiple people that Stripping your hair is not good what so ever on your hair and that I was upset because I was never told what she was doing to my hair in the first place (she told me it was getting dyed brown)

She came back and said that is the ONLY way to dye hair and that Andrea knew what she was doing and on and on like I was an idiot that I weas upset my hair is the color of the sunset.

Then I said ok say this is the process you do and you strip peoples hair..... Dont you tell them that is going to turn orange? I mean kinda important if you ask me. And my FMIL told her the same thing and she told her my hair is orange because "I" am using thewrong shampoo and conditioner. WELL Little does she know Andrea SOLD it to me.... IT the product they sell!!!!!

So then I asked her very politely that I was afraid that andrea will keep doing the same thing over and over and its not like I can just keep trying and seeing what happens.. My hair is already completely damaged from them. So she told me that she will just have andrea call me tomorrow, and thats what it was left at.

SOOOOOOOO

I got home and fuming mad and spoke with my fmil and she has been off and on the phone with the owner saying... this is what is supposed to happen and if I want to come over there right now I can and there "color" specialist will put good conditioner in my hair and tell me what is happening and why".

Seriously now there is a conflict of interest and I dont want to step foot in there again. The problem here is my FMIL got me a $500 GC to get all the stuff so now they have all the money and right now we are fighting with them to get it back..

AGHHHHHHH SO mad.

Am I being a complete bidezilla or do I have a right to be mad here?

sorry am I alowed to do two posts OOPS!

No you are not being a bridezilla, you have every right to be upset!

My parents have owned a beauty salon for over 30 years and they would never treat clients like that.

I would go back and get an extensive hair conditioner tonight and let it stay in your hair and sleep with it on. Go back tomorrow and have them fix it.

sarah, remember i had a bad experience at my salon with the new wax girl last saturday? the salon owner called me personally yesterday to apologize profusely that i wasnt happy, to offer me some free spa services with another esthetician, and a big discount on my next appointment for highlights. ultimately i will continue going back to the salon because the owner has been so wonderful about making right with the customer and i know they will take care of me. its shameful the way the salon is treating you. its obviously not your fault, you paid them for a service, used the product they told you to use and they sold it to you and you followed directions. then they are saying its your fault? i dont think so.

I know its so so ridiculous. I wouldnt be as upset if they at least said one little sorry in there. In no way do they think it is their fault. I tried calling the owner but she is gone for the day. So I will call tomorrow and am going to ask for ALL my money back including the gift certificate we purchased for $500 and everything!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
