Haha, this thread is hilarious.  I'm trying to think of a bad gift that I've gotten... and I'm sure there is one.  But for now I share an odd gift.  My future SIL gave me this little Boyd's teddy bear.  When I opened it, I was confused because it seemed to be packaged inside extra plastic.  When we got home I finally took a good look at it.  It was a gift kit... It had the mini gift bag inside, the mini gift tag to fill out, the mini bear to put inside the mini gift bag... you get the idea lol.  There were even instructions inside on how to put it together to make it a gift.  So I guess I had to put my own gift together?  Haha... one of these days I will actually put it together and gift it to someone.

Haha this thread is great! Just made me feel a little better. After 6 years you would think the future in laws would remember my birthday. Well my MIL did and she emailed me to tell me she had sent a gift up for me. I felt so good until the gift arrived. I opened it to find a Pen and Pencil. Totally nothing special about them. I actually found them at Staples and they were $10! Way to make a girl feel special hey! A friend of mine says I should get my MIL's name engraved on them and regift them to her! At least then she will maybe realize that I put a little more effort into the gift then her!

An ex-boyfiend of mine bought me a gift card for 10 car washes for xmas!  It's not a horrible gift, but for xmas?  I was expecting something that took more thought or meant something.  He said that my car was always dirty!  lol... well it's not because I couldn't afford to wash it Jerk!  With three kids, a full time job and going to school,  I just didn't have the time!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
