Getting Married in Cuba

Hi Julie,

Do you remember - how far is Playa Pesquero from Guardalavaca?

I will be shooting 2 wedding in Holguin during the same week in May - one at the Paradisus Rio De Oro (where I shot before) and one at the Playa Pesquero.

I will be also doing 2 "Trash the Dress" sessions.

I will be staying at Playa Pesquero, but I want to shoot the "Trash the Dress" session in Guardalavaca for the couple from the Paradisus Rio De Oro.

Thank you,

Just so you are aware, a few of my girlfriends were in Cuba ent Castro announced he was stepping down. They had no problems what so ever.

For those that aren't aware, for us Canadians going to Cuba is not a big deal. Most people go every year without incidents. :)

Hi Julie...I have visited Holguin twice and both times were amazing. The Brisas Guardalavaca and Playa Costa Verde were both nice resorts. The first one was my favorite out of the two. We are also thinking of Holguin or Cayo Coca for our destination.

Well I know that this forum has a lot of Americans who are unable to experience the Cuban hospitality but my FI and I have been there twice before and we are not getting married there in February.

I love it. The hospitality is genuine and the resorts are wonderful. The oceans are beautiful and less crowded like places I have been like Mexico! Very romantic and a lot of history to be seen!

I suggest it and agree with everything that 'aimee' had to say!

If you want any other information please feel free to email me or message me as I love to talk CUBA!

Good Luck!

There's isn't really a problem with having your sister has MOH except for the fact that she won't be able to be your witness for the marriage documents. You can't have blood relatives of either person sign as your witness.

You can still have her as your MOH, you'll just have to find someone else to sign as witness in her place.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
