Buy a 2nd dress???

Recommended Posts

I think alot of brides have done that before. If you're not 100% happy and its in your budget, I say go for it! You can always use one as your TTD

Why doesn't the dress make you happy? Do you not get the "wow" feeling?
Well I bought a dress that had the lace I was looking for, but it was strapless. The dress I vison was a deep v-neck front and back. The lady did all the changes but not to the front. I need the dress to be cut more in the front to create the v-neck. To me the dress is a sweatheart neckline. But to sum it up, the dress is not giving me the wow feeling.

Kendra,

I am in the same boat... I got one dress but now (only 6 weeks before my wedding) I am having 2nd thoughts!! Your not alone!! I am debating buying a 2nd dress and trying to sell the other one. If you use ebay you should think about listing the one your not going to wear on there to try to make some of your money back.

I was in the same situation. That feeling wont go away, trust me. I bought the dress 4 months ago. I started to realize that it only had that WOW factor in comparison to all the other dresses I tried on that day. I completely described the simple dress that I wanted and the lady in the store said they had nothing like it. I wanted simple and classy and as beautifull as the dress was, it was far from simple. The lady really had me convinced I wouldn't find anything like what I had described so I settled. It really started to bother me and when I pictured myself in the dress it just wasn't the same any more.

I went bridesmaid dress shopping last weekend with my sister (not intending to buy a new dress for myself) and as soon as we walked in, there was my dress. Exactly what I wanted to start with. I canceled the old one (the new one was so much cheeper it was worth losing my deposit) and I am so happy now. I didn't think I cared as much as I did but it felt like a huge weight was lifted off my shoulders. I am just thankfull I got what I really wanted before it was too late. I love my new dress!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
