Leia - I would still go. I went to France a few years ago in the month of January and I loved every second of it. Actually Paris was my least favorite I found because the men were kind of creeping me out. I went with a group of girls, so that's probably why :P You on the other hand with be with your hubby!! I say go! Seriously it will be a very romantic honeymoon. I remember seeing alot of couples and wishing that J was there with me to experience it all.

What do you guys have in mind for touristy things you want to see and do?!

I lived in Southern France for about 6 months when I was younger from September - February and honestly the weather wasnt that bad. Yes it's cold not that rainy at least not like England/Scotland region. I say go for it, you will love sitting at the outdoor cafe's with boots jeans and a stylish sweater sipping on lattes/cappicianos (sp?) and people watching. Its so laid back there and so beautiful.

Well we spent 2 days in Paris a couple of years ago, so we packed in all a lot of the touristy sites (the louvre, eiffal tower, Palace of Versailles, Notre Dame, the Champs-Elysees, and the Arc de Triomphe...) I really look forward to walking around, people watching, eating at the cafes/restaurants, shopping, going to the farmer's market...just relaxing and living the Parisian lifestyle for 1 week! As for Florence, we've never been. So definately site seeing there is a must but I also want to shop at the outlets. Has anyone been to the LV, Gucci, etc. outlets in Florence?

Oh yeah, where do you guys think we should stay in Paris. We didn't get a chance to check out the Latin Quarter, but I heard that place is really lively and fun. Should we stay in that areahuh.gif

I love people watching too!!! Glad I'm not the only weirdo lol j/k

Oh you and your new DH are going to have such a fabulous time. What a great place to honeymoon. It was such a rainy day the day we decided to venture to the outlets, even with my umbrella, I was soaked from head to toe. I was in a miserable mood so i didn't buy anything. I think I was whining too lol. Some of my gfs bought some stuff though. Still a bit pricey form what I can remember.

I'm not sure about what area to stay in, I didn't do the research for that trip. sorry!

Leia Im so sorry. I think you should go if you can afford to go again during better whether. I kinda understand what you are feeling, we are going to our HM not during our preferred season either. Who wants to go to New Zealand in the winter? But look at it this way, you get to see your favorite place in a different season! Plus you get to experience two different types of weather. Warm and Sunny and Rainy and Cold. You shouldnt have to put off your honeymoon.

I LOOOOOVVVVE YOUR PUPPY AND HIS OUTFITS TOO. SOOOO CUTE! POOR PUPPY HAD TO SIT THROUGH ALL THOSE SHOTS!

This is a sore subject for me cause the day my FI and I were going to go the outlets, he left his laptop in the villa we just checked out of...so we had to drive one hour back to get it and I missed the outlets. Boo hoo!

I heard they are awesome and totally worth it. The only good part about missing the outlets was he bought me a Prada wallet at the Prada store in the airport.

Paris is gorgeous anytime of year. Go to the top of the Eiffel Tower at night. Florence is also beautiful. We stayed at a really nice place right across from the Duomo in the heart of Florence. I'll look it up and see if I can fine it. Nice hotel, not too expensive.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
