I just posted a thread about a liquid diet. One of my coworkers did it and lost some weight. Not sure if you're interested in it, but check it out here : http://bestdestinati....813#post332291

If your motivation came from looking at the old dress and worrying about fitting into it in time, I would replace it with the bathing suit. Hang it up in plain sight and make your self try it on at least once a week. If that's not enough motivation to put down the pizza and hit the gym, I don't know what is. Also, one thing that got me started is buying some new work out cloths. You don't have to spend allot, but when you buy something new you want to wear it.

Motivation is different for different people. There are a couple things that motivate me. I lost about 25 pounds on WW about 5 years ago. Since that time I have probably lost an additional 5-10 ( I fluctuate a lot) by cutting sugar from my diet. That can get pricey sometimes only because when I follow a diet higher in fat/protien i tend to eat a lot of fish (which can be expensive). If you are interested in WW I can mail you my materials. IMHO I do not think it's worth paying $15/week to have someone weigh you when you can buy a scale and do that for yourself at home! All you do is follow the book on point values for food and exercise. When I was losing the majority of my weight I would work out 45 min in the morning b4 work and I would walk home (about 40 min) in the evenings. I would say a really easy way to drop weight and inches for a lot of people I know is cutting sugar (white bread, sweets) or WW. If you PM me with your address I will happily send you my WW books including the fast food guide.

In the meantime here are a few other sources for inspiration.....

Okay... I appreciate the feedback, and I think I will join the Biggest Loser, but I only have until May 13th to lose the weight since that is my final dress fitting. I hope something works from now until then. Like I was telling Nikki, my bad eating habits is not so much what I eat, but how often I eat. I get so busy and wrapped up that I don't have enough time to eat. It's not on purpose because everyone around me knows how I love food.

BarbK, i am gonna also follow your advice and put that swim suit in plain sight. I can fit in it now, but if I lose...I will look damn sexy in it :)

have you tried strength training? You still have time, you will lose inches, and you can do things at home instead of the gym. Go for light weight, more reps to avoid becoming bulky. Muscle burns more calories than fat, even when you are just sitting at your desk. Also, try Pilates. You tube has a bunch of videos so you won;t need to go buy anything.

Yes, I actually love strength training more than anything. I love to "feel the burn." But I know that all my body needs is some good cardio. I go in these spurts where I am so motivated...and then I lose sight of the goal...

B-Girl, You sound so much like me. I ended up with 2 dresses except my motivation dress was the 2nd dress... now its not motivating me really because my seamstress has decided she wanted to alter it to fit me... so my motivation is the fact that she said "4 inches you cant lose that in enough time" during the first fitting. Im truly a sweet person (he he he) but in my head I was saying "Watch me Biotch" lol So thats part of my motivation. Also I decided that I would do BD photos and that is my MAJOR Motivator! Girl I bought some sexy lingerie and I have to look at least decent in them.
So Im the bad one on here, I am on Alli and the MyAlli Plan. I did the full meal plan and can only take in 1200 calories, I lost 5 lbs within the last 3-4 weeks and my tummy feels lighter. People have noticed. I think I am starting to notice but its not good enough. I work out at least 5-6 hours a week/2 days resistance or strength training and 3 days Zumba. Im going to start running next week.
YOU CAN DO IT!!! You seem athletic... I dont know about you but I get a high after working out! Do you? Dont you miss it? Get your butt back out there working out so you can work whatever dress you are wearing and that sexy bathing suit.
I like your dress! Are you going to sell it?

This was taken back in August. I have lost about 7 lbs and a total of about 15 inches from all of my measurments since then... So I am a little smaller now.
I think you look beautiful the way you are:-)!! I love the dress especially in "girls" area (hehe) and the sash just under them. If that is the area you are worried about I say don't worry cause you look great. Now if it is simply you want to feel better about yourself then definatly keep on dieting. There are lots of online diet plans that are free. I had used one in the past. I find it helpful now just to keep a food journal. If I put it in my mouth I write it down. It keeps me from over eating! I also know this is not what you are supposed to do but I get in the scales every morning. If I am up any I am really conscious about what I eat. If I am down I am extra motivated to keep going. The problem is if I stay the same. That is when I tend to overeat (like today already..lol) I feel your pain right now cause I am going through it too! I hope that helps!

Actually no I am not gonna sell it because I got it onsale for like $200 and I can wear it again anywhere. I love the dress...it just didn't say "WOW, you are the bride...look at you." I wanted to try some sort of quick fix...meaning pills. I ultimately want a lifestyle change, but right this second I want I want a quick fix...lol. I unfortunately don't have anyone that really pushes me because my fiance loves how I look (except for my pudgy stomach...not sexy.) I think that if I report in everyday with you guys, that may help me. My work schedule and personal schedul is so hectic that I don't have time to do anything but that is alwo why I bout the 8 min workout DVDs.

If you guys could just push me...if you are not busy, that would be great...we could push each other. I am gonna start posting pics and updating them everyweek with maybe pounds and measurements. I would love if someone would do the same...and we can all start tracking our progress. Anyone up for it?? I wanted to wait til it got hot outside to go running, but the weather tricked me and now it's cold again. I have a gym membership, but once I get off of work at 8 am, I don't feel like it since all I have time to do is sleep since I have to be back at work at 5:30 pm... (I work night/split days shifts...were I am off 2 or 3 days a week.)

And running...I run so hard that I don't feel charged when I'm done...I feel sleepy...lol. What is BD photos
