I'll start things off...

My wedding is set for May 23, 2009. The ceremony will be held at Pigeon Island National Park on the beach and the reception will be at Villa Capri. We are renting out the villa for 4 nights for our immediate families and our "bridal party" (we're not sure if we're officially having one). The villa came with a WC. Her name is Kris Wagner and she is fantastic.

We plan on doing a Caribbean BBQ for a welcome dinner and chartering a catamaran for our guests the following day (which is the day before the wedding). I'm so happy with our decision to get married on St. Lucia. None of our guests have been there before and they're going to LOVE it!

St. Lucia is not the easiest island to get to and it's usually more expensive than Mexico, DR, and Jamaica.

You should talk to TAJennifer on this site. She's a travel agent who specializes in Sandals and St. Lucia. How perfect for you!

Hi Girls,

I am getting married in St. Lucia in November 2008. We are getting married at the Jalousie Plantation in Soufriere. We chose the Jalousie because this resort allows guests the option of all-inclusive, breakfast, dinner, and room, or room only. Many of the other resorts in St. Lucia are all inclusive only and not all of our guests wanted to get the all inclusive package. My FI and I went to visit in Feb 2008 and we took lots of pictures. Check out our website for more info about the Jalousie Plantation and some info we gathered about St. Lucia. www.timandliz.info

Hi,

Glad to see there are other St.Lucia Brides out there. My date is set for June 2009, but I am a little worried, I didn't pick the right place. First time to St. Lucia for us and also my family and friend. I have my Fiance's mom who has never travel before, so I am a little worried she won't like the place. I wanted to have my wedding at Sandals, but they do not allow kids , so I had to pick a family place.

Does any one know of anyone who got married at the Windjammer?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
