I would wait on flights. I booked as soon as I could and spent more than the ones who just booked within the last couple of weeks. That being said though, you're going during peak season and I'm not, so that may be affecting the prices. Also, be sure to check into group or wedding discounts.

I'm definitely getting excited, but I feel like I have a million things to do. I'm a bride without a veil, shoes, garter, and jewelry! How did that happen?!

Ugh, my SIL just e-mailed saying that they might be bringing my niece. She'll be 7 months old in May and of course I want her there, but adding an infant now causes more work than they think! Grrr...

Hello Kristy,

Don't worry you still have some time left. I still haven't gotten my shoes, garter and few other little things as well. My hubby to be on the other hand is driving me crazy cause he has not gotten his suit. He is going to look this weekend and hopefully he finds something rigth away. We are three months away. Time is going fast.

By the way, are you shipping anything down or taking it all with you? I don't want to have too much weight to take with me.

Hope all is going well the the other girls..

I'm only planning on bringing down one big bag of wedding stuff, mostly for the OOT bags. My dad is including it in his checked luggage. I'm not shipping anything. I'm just not all that particular about things. My WC has given me decent prices on stuff down there, so that works for me.

Were did everybody go?

I just found out that I'm getting my flowers from the Flower Shack. (I just let my WC choose where I would get them from.) I have already been in contact with Dierdre and she is so nice. I'll let you know how everything works out! I'll be leaving next month, woo hoo!

I got the veil, barefoot sandals, fun reception shoes, and earrings. I need a necklace, garter, and just married flip flops. I'm hoping someone gets me a fun garter at my shower.

Has anyone seen Just Married flip flops that are a little better quality? All I can find are the ones with that really hard plastic that ends up rubbing against my toes

Kristy,

Unfortunately, I've just seen the "Just Married" flip flops in the hard plastic. Please let me know if you find softer nicer ones! Did you make your own barefoot sandals or did you buy them? Can you post a photo of yours? I'd love some ideas.

Only 2 months and a few days to go for me!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
