Hi Kari,

While we were visiting St. Lucia this past February we met with someone from Dreamy Weddings. She took us around the island to help find a place for our ceremony and reception. We decided not to use dreamy weddings because the resort where we are staying is providing everything we need, Dreamy Weddings were great to work with. Below is the information of the person that we were working with:

What ever happened to the girl that just recently got married? I think her s/n was wife2be. I've been waiting for her review and now I don't even see her posts anymore. Did something happen??

We're getting married at Sandals St. Lucia Grande on 6-19-09. I am dying to see someone's review and pics of their wedding.....oi!

Hello Ladies! My name is Kelly and I hope I can join you. I am also a St. Lucia bride-to-be! We are still looking into a few other locations, but it sounds like St. Lucia is the place for us. We are looking into Sandals, so if anyone has any tips or advice I am all ears! I am just starting all of this, so no plans have been made. We have set a date of May 2, 2010.

I will spend some time the next few days reading the posts on this thread. I can't wait to get to know everyone!

Hi Kelly!

Welcome to the world of wedding planning! The gals on here are extremely helpful.

We are going for the Windjammer now that we know a few singles and people with children might be attending. So I can't help you out with Sandals in St Lucia, thought I have heard great things.

Sometimes people disappear after they get married. Hopefully she'll pop up again soon.

Welcome to all the newcomers! It's so nice to have a handful of St. Lucia brides!

Hi! (I swear I posted to this thread earlier, but now I don't see the response.)

Anyway - I think I'll be joining you St. Lucia ladies! We were originally thinking March 2009, but we may push it to May 2009 - because there seems to be better pricing during that time and I'm concerned that March may be crowded with spring breaks going on.

I haven't nailed down a venue, so any suggestions are welcome. I really like the Jalousie Plantation and Discovery at Marigot Bay (anyone know if this has a beach?) Other ideas are more than welcome.

We are planning a wedding just for the two of us, so I'm definitely looking for something smaller, and an intimate/private beach site for the ceremony.

Heather, you may want to check out Villa Beach Cottages (Small hotel in St Lucia Caribbean - Villa Beach Cottages). I have seen some great reviews. Otherwise, Jalousie is great, and I have heard great things about Discovery at Marigot Bay as well...

Oh, one more might be the Stonefield Estate Villas (in the south). Welcome to Stonefield Estate Resort

If we werent' having a bunch of people with us, the stonefield is probably where we would go.

Good luck with planning!

Hello Heather,

Welcome!! It's nice to have another St. Lucia Bride. I heard all good things about them. The Marigot is on the North and the Jalousie is on the South. They both have beaches. It depends on what you are looking for. You can also check out any of the Sandals Resorts if you want. If you want all-inclusive. I heard all good things about them and I believe one of the girls are getting married at Sandals Grande.

Good Luck planning...

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
