I am planning on it. Since Sandals doesn't allow outside photograhers, I will only get a few pics of the ceremony and am going over to Pigeon Island (since it's in walking distance) after the wedding for our photos.

I'm getting married at Pigeon Island, so I was hoping to go somewhere else. I'll probably find some little cove or something while I'm down there and shouldn't worry about it ahead of time. Definitely let me know if you see any good spots though!

I am keeping my fingers crossed. I really want the direct flight. Did you booked your flight yet with AA? How much are you paying?

Did you find your dress yet? I haven't even start to look...

For the zipline thing, I know the combo one is newer. My guess is that Sandals would offer the all ziplining one (which is the one I think I'd prefer). Do you know if the tour starts in Dennery?

Really, I did not know Pigeon Island was only walking distance way. That is good to know since I will be staying at Sandals for my Honeymoon too. I was thinking of getting married at Pigeon Island, but I chose to do at a resort to make it easier and less expensive.

But from the looks of things I don't think it is going to be any cheaper. Kristy did you book direct or did you go thru a wedding planner in St. Lucia? Although I am getting married at the Windjammer I am getting nervous that is not going to be the way I want it. Maybe I am just worried about nothing.

Villa Capri comes with a wedding coordinator, Kris Wagner. I just love her! We're having the reception at the villa.

As for the flights, I was going to book them last week, but then a new flight popped up for our honeymoon (we're going to Excellence in Punta Cana from St. Lucia), so I had to discuss with FI which one we wanted. Now I should be booking tomorrow. The direct flights to/from JFK and St. Lucia are on Sundays, Mondays, and Thursdays. Definitely try to book your travel on those days. We did the layover in San Juan last year and it just kills your whole day.

One other thing about traveling...check out American Airlines' group travel discount. We're getting everyone a 10% discount. The round trip flights from JFK will be under $600.

I hope this helps!

Kristy,

Thanks for the reply. Your responses have been very helpful. I am glad I found the site, you guys have been very help.

Thanks for the info. I will try to book soon with American Airlines, cause I really don't want the layover and I diffently want to get the group discount.

I am staying a Sandals Grande, so that will be cool to walk over to Pigeon Island.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
